Ladder vs Non-Ladder?

Stupid question... what is the difference between creating a ladder char or a non-ladder char? Can they play in the same games? Is one better to choose then the other? I'm not really sure which to play. Please someone let me know... thanks!

non ladder is better IMO. no they cannot play in same games. ladder is competition and it will reset soon ( i hope and think ) i actually think that ladder is easier i played ladder first season and then it reset i was like wtf i just got godly ahh screw it and started playing non ladder.

Thanks... I've been wasting my time making chars on ladder then. I didn't realize eventually they'd be wiped out. Damn. What a lot of wasted time. Anyone want to help me start some chars on non-ladder useast? It's my first time playing on Bnet in over a year and half and I'm starting with nothing.

i belive ladder is better because u have the chance of getting better items than on non ladder and some really REALLY good runewords....ladder resets about every 1-2 years so u have plenty of time to get godly items. u keep the ladder characters when it resets but the are converted to non ladder....they dont vanish completely

When it resets and your character becomes non-ladder, do you keep all your items? If you have a ladder only rune word weapon, does it transfer over to the non-ladder? So should I keep playing my ladder chars and not worry, and whenever they reset the ladder I'll still have my chars and I can just play non-ladder? Thanks for the replies...

of course remember that their original plan after the first ladder season ended was to separate the season 1 ladder chars into their own realm apart from ladder season 2 chars and NL chars; then they switched it up and just decided to make all of the season 1 ladder chars into NL chars. as of now it is not known whether they will do the same thing or do something different.

I would say ladder's better. You get godly runewords/items that's LADDER ONLY and once you're in NL They worth a lot more. Like the new words for example, spirit/fort will worth most I think, as in compared to their prices on ladder
