Merc tank gear?

Im using a act 2 NM def merc and want to make him a tank..jsut wondering what the best gear for it would be..anyone have any suggestions?martass2

I would go with Shaftstop for armor (since it's cheaper) and a Vampire Gaze/Shako/CoA and an Ethereal Reaper's Toll. Make sure to put a Cham in the helm you chose, or find another source of Cannot Be Frozen.

mine would b lik eth uped shaft with cham, gaze helm with a 15/40 and that new runeword polarm 4 soc one if ur ladder if not on ladder use eth bone hew with amn and 15/40

upgrading an eth shaft causes it to lose the 50% eth defense bonus. better off using a regular upped one.

an eth bonehew is hardly worth socketing with a 40/15 jewel. unless ur merc gets a str boost elsewhere, i would go with amn + hel so the str req isn't so high.

With Stone, you lack the Physical Damage Reduced, which is highly important for tanking. I prefer a Reaper's Toll because A.) It casts Decripify on your opponent, further slowing them B.) It's cheaper than an EBotD.

eth fortitude for armor, eth andys for helm, and any good weap depending on what u need for ur char. like on my pally i use an eth insight for the med. he has like 22k def and does 10k damage
