Mouse Scrolling
#1
Okay, I was about to post about this just a couple days ago... But anyways, I got this virus, see... And it practically deleted EXPLORER.EXE, so after I restart the computer, it just comes up with a blue screen, so I format my computer and reinstall XP Professional... Well now, every time I try to scroll, it goes reeeaallly slow... A line goes (obviously) up the screen every time I roll the mouse... And it's also slow as hell trying to move windows around... This shouldn't be happening, especially since I JUST formatted my computer completely. Anyone know how to help?

Have you installed the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard? i.e nforce / via 4in1.. and drivers for your videocard like the omega ait/nvidia drivers? Default windows drivers dont cut it.

No, I haven't.. But I've been messing around with it and it also drags windows extremely slow, like Windows is getting very bad framerate... And I think it's residual damage from the virus, because I can't play WCIII anymore, either...

Try mouse properties.

Well, I had tried the mouse properties first thing... But anyway... Spitfire, you saved my life, man. I didn't even really remember I didn't have the Nvidia drivers downloaded, and now everything works... Additionally, with the new high-level format, my machine is running at it's peak and I couldn't be happier with it. Smile
