New to hacking d2

Ok, so I'm brand new to hacking on d2 and such. I need some help getting started... A few questions:
What hack is recomended?
How would I use it?
Is it possible to use on closed Bnet?

I want to start hacking because i got bored with diablo 2 and now just feel like playing around. I'm not a total idiot but I do need some help getting started. Thanks and I'm glad to be a part of this community.

For you , you should start off with m.h (map hack) lets you view whole act . And yes you can use on closed b-net.

Check the download stickies. If you mean like character editors, those cannot be used on closed.

No, not character editors, and killjoy, thanks for the recomendation. I have to install my lod that's located at another house, but could you recomend a maphack?

Thanks Killjoy. I got it and i'll be hacking by next week... I have problems because i have my desktop which i'm ont hat has d2 and my laptop which doesn't have enuf space to run d2, and I have to leave my desktop where I am right now. Oh well, I'll be cheating by oh... At least the first of march, that's when I get my new crt for my other house and my internet turns on ^_^. I'll probably drop by here with my lod disk and play a little, but that's about it untill march. Ok well thanks for all the help!

edit: Oh yeah, is this detectable on closed Bnet, just making sure before I got and get my key banned, lol...

Get c3po, and I haven't heard about anything about detecting mhs lately, I'm pretty sure they gave up. I've been using c3po since it came out, and I've never got detected yet.

Wow, that was fun, now I just wish I could play online!!! Argh, something is wrong with my copy... It gives me an error that I can't connect because of my modem or something... Sucks... I read the instructions and was wondering if there was a way to set it up so that items appeared on the map also. Thanks for the recomendation!

Will they appear on your mini-map too? I know if you hold alt you can see them if they're around you, but will they also appear on the mini-map?
