Open Wounds PvP Barb Guide idea! Check it!-

Okay, I'm so bored because I've made all the different chars, so Now i would like to make an open wounds lamer barb, but I'm not sure if it would be good in duel or if open wounds even is good.

This is how he should be:

The Equipment:

wep1:Razor's edge(50% openwounds+50%ias)-um rune(+25 open wounds)
wep2:Razor's edge(50% openwounds+50%ias)-Nef rune(knockback)
armor:Enigma BP(you need the teleport)
helm:Arreats-um(need the resis)
gloves: Draculs gloves(25% openwounds+10%ll+10str)
boots:Gore Rider(10% openwounds+30% FRW)
amulet:angelic amulet
ring1:angelic ring
ring2:ravenfrost(nn to be frozen)
wep3/4: +3 wc weapons

Charms:
anni (any stats)
small life charms

str: none
dex: none
vita: all
ener: none

If you have that equip you dont need str or dex. martass2

Combat skills:
1 bash
1 leap
1 leap attack
1 concentrate
1 stun
1 whirlwind (you dont need extra dmg!)

War cries:
1 howl
1 battle command
20 battle orders (life!)
20 shout (def!)

Masteries:
1 increased stamina
12 natural resistance ( )
20 increased speed < These skills are optional. )
20 iron skin ( )

= 101 skills

How to Kill enemys in PvP:

Ok what open wounds does is like poison, but psn resist dossent help,
they just lose life, so you have to hit them once, using tele and ww.
then avoid thier attack untill they are down to very low life(should't take to long)
Then you give them that finishing hit so they die, with :"tele + ww".

Okay I need comments on this, good/sucky? fun/boring?
also need ideas about equip and so on. thanks

i think open wounds is maxed at 100. perhaps use a fury weapon instead for 66% open wounds. and maybe use a shield so u dont die quickly. also, why the umed arreats. try cham arreats so u can use 3 angelics and hit more. otherwise it looks fine.

The only problem with open wounds is that it takes freakin' forever to take life down. ESPECIALLY when you're fighting barbs with 5k life and more. I would maybe take some of the open wounds off, and wear some gear to add some crushing blow. Ignore target defense is also really important.

Maybe this sort of build would work a bit better with a smiter (always hits)

pant ignore target def doesnt work in pvp.

np, and just to clarify if u people say smite itd and it always hits in pvp. itd is an attribute, it isnt a skill. smite is a skill that always hits. thats why

If 100% openwounds is max then razor's edge(75%) + draculs(25%) + gore rider (10%) ... then that would be enough ... then i Could maybe replace razor's edge nr.2 out with storm.

The and that would give me more resist to ... , then idd remove um to storm and put cham in arreats.

then i think resists would be max.

And Pan is right, Open wounds does not have a good effect in BvB, buts its alot of fun vs sorc, necro's and chars like that...

Argh Big Problem.

Okay i made a copy of this char on Single player.

and I still had 110% open wounds with storm, the resists was 65,75,85,65

Ok but since i only used 1 point in whirlwind, my attack rating is like 2654 ! OMG !

I doubt that even another angelic ring would help enough to make it even look like im hitting someone.

What am i going to do??

Ehm ... Kind of the idea about this barb is when first you hit, avoid all attacks and thats easyer when your running hella fast.

But I guess there is no other way, because if he dossent have more AR than 2.6 then im screwed

changed the skills replaced raven with angelic aswell... Now I have 6.2 AR.

Hope thats even to duel another melee char..

u need pts into a weapon mastery i think that increases your ar too




yes that just summarizes what i said. itd doesnt work in pvp since its an attribute, smite the on other hand just always hits, even though it doesnt have itd.

IDT how it works in PVP.....actually IDT does NOT work in PVP , this is where your attack rating or "AR" will come in handy. Sorry to disapoint you IDT also doesnt affect Champion monsters , minions , or Act 1-5 Boss monsters.

Open wounds is a Great Idea in theory , and i've yet to see it in action ( at least not in the magnitude your talking about , i mean baseing a character around 1 perticular status )
sounds fun though, besides a few stratigic changes i would make , i'd prefer to not preach what i personally practice , its not my style.
