I've been recently hearing about an Account Hack that cracks peoples Diablo2 account password... Is this true? and does anyone have any Advanced and Indepth information about it? Please if you know anything, write back to me or E-mail me at [email protected]

no such thing use ur common sense on this one () please do not ask questions cause of the bots that spam d2 and say theres leaked dupe its all private and never released ususally but some may no ill stop rihgt now before i say to much

There are things like Brute forcers and such that can take passwords and keyloggers and such, but you need a lot of info on them and they're kept secret for the most part [THANK GOD] Don't stoop so low as to want to jack what other poeple have worked hard for.

yes duping works, i duped a zod rune with my friend, but it disapeard after i logged off bnet.

My account got hacked once by a brute forcer. I was rich. After I got hacked, I never played d2 ever again. I still post on the fourms though!

Actually it would be very difficult to use a brute force program to hack into a battle.net account, brute force programs aren't all that complicated. And they tkae a long time, resulting in many failed log in attempts.. Though, after five failed login attempts on battle.net, they will lock your account for about an hour (i think about that long) So really it would take months to hack into someones account and you wouldn't be able to get in either.

well think of it this way...it would be how botters do it...have it set to the absilute most you could have to try a pw...then use a cd crack to use multiple games running all trying to get into the account...then make it so each has a diffrent section of definitions to use...and only use a common pw list...that would speed up the prosses very much...but wouldnt insure you getting the account

Off topic, and I doubt we'd see this guy again.

Matter of fact, after the scamming that went on internally here, I don't think account hacks (assuming they exist) would be allowable on this site.
