Morrowind: The Elder Scrolls III

It's one of the biggest games you will ever play, The scope is huge..Traveling from one side of the world to the other can take hours..(Unless you snag rides on the Silt Striders/Boats)

The sheer size of the game alone will astound you, the moment you step off the boat at the beginning...to when you reach the massive city of Vivec.

The games main quest, is 600 hours minimum of play, You will travel, see amazing cities, amazing sites, explore vast ruins and the like.

The game is rich with folklore and legend, There is something like 4000 NPC's in the entire game. (Or was it 400? no..4000 seems a better guess). The races are amazing.

And the best part?

The game comes with it's own VERY easy to use editor..and I do stress very.
If you don't like the way a certain building looks, well fire up the editor, select the cell (They're labeled by location, so.. say if you wanted to edit something in the lighthouse, it would be Seyda Neen, Lighthouse). The editor is all straightforward lamens terms, everything is drag n drop pretty much.

If you do get this game, I recommend getting the Betterbodies mod, the betterheads mod to make the characters look truly amazing, and also get the Bloodmoon and Tribunal expansion packs (You can find the Morrowind Game of the year edition Game+2 expansions for under $40 canadian!!!)

The game will never end if you do not wish it to, there are websites with thousands of mods to add new content, new quests..new everything.

Oh and also pick up the Complete morrowind mod, Which allows you to smith your own weapons, sew your own clothing, make your own food and such.
Nothing beats mining ore then chopping down a tree to make a shaft, smithing the ore into an axehead and making yourself a weapon.

But don't take my word for it, Google it!

I've played the game and I found it pretty fun. I never finished the game though because i only rented twice. You make your charecter. I had a guy with super good charisma and str. I would be cool with everyone and shit but what they didn't know is i killed mass people and robbed there houses for the best stuff. I would kill people with 1 hit in the back of head and when i wanted to get somewhere i would use levitate and put on these boots that make you blind but increase your speed alot.

hhmmmm...........seems a nice game but,

is it like kind you build your army and conquer ( Age of Empire style ) or more like a RPG ( D2 style ) or what????

It's an RPH in the first person style. You can kill any thing you want to, you can be a vampire a werewolf and with the mods you can be a dragon also, its just a fun slasher RPG with an ok story. Only thing about it is there don't seem to be many voices to it.

I saw the game ELDER SCROLLS III : MOROWIND but it was rent......... =/

If you are thinking of renting the XBOX version of Morrowind, I would highly recommend AGAINST that.

The XBOX version has incredibly muddled graphics, the textures are blurred and the whole game looks horrible, On the PC? Crisp and clean.

You need a mouse for Morrowind, playing it with a controller is a really horrible experience, how are you going to make a fort out of stolen books when you cannot select where you're going to put the book down?

The XBOX version has cut alot of the speech, In the PC version every NPC speaks and has multitudes of things to say, sure alot of communication is done through text, but if they were to take everything said and try to make it into speech, I assume that would take atleast 2-3 gigs of .wavs

Remember, 4000 npc's... each has roughly 30 things to say..some less (like slaves)
But besides that, there is still a ton of speech in the game, with such gems as

Silt Strider NPC's saying "We make a special trip just for you, Same low price"
Nords saying "You're on your honour, don't press your luck"
Dark elves saying "You shall die"
Other stuff like that.

And remember...

The XBOX console port..SUCKS!
