i am a zealot wearing gd gear. gave my act 2 migh merc a shako socketed with 40/20 a shafttop armour and a demon arch balrog spear. i can't seem to get him to keep his a$$ behind me and STOP DIEING. lol help advice pls thx,

Might mercenaries are offensive if I am not mistaken which means he will go out and try and kill things. Sadly there are no mercenary commands in the game, to my knowledge. Its all AI controlled and pre-programmed.

give him better gear.

if he gets in there charge out.

dont use a merc.

If you do nightmare pindle many times (Use a bot), your merc will level to about level 70.

or you could do hell baals with people and sit back and just give other peeps the aura and help them.

well a shaft shako and arch is not god gear... you realy wont him to stay alive give him a high damige weapon, and alot of life leech

i sujest this gear

etheral andarials visage- adds 10% life leech and 20% ias also good defence
leviathan- adds damige reduct, 50 strenth which will add damige, and good amount of defence
eth reapers toll- adds some life leech, 33% chance to cast decremtify, decent damige, and will be very fast with andarials visage.

put a cham in both the visage and the toll and then put a ed jewel or a um in the levi

but this still wont save you from the abyss knights and there iron madien curse so if they cast it on him then dont let him hit anyone

also if you get a act 2 nightmare defencive merc then you get holy freeze

Most prolly use a teleport [enigma] to control ur merc...
