A contradiction lives.

Okay, so I was being mind numbing bored and started reading the rules for D2S. Well I read the announcement from Chesh reguarding warez, cracks and keygens. After doing so I saw the new thread about the newest version of D2JSP coming out and how Bubba should have it cracked in a few days. Then I went back and read Chesh's announcement.

So here I sit wondering: Is it only bad to request warez, cracks and keygens for programs developed by large corporations like Adobe and Microsoft? So we just leave people like Paul hanging in the wind because he is not part of some large software developer? Of course you say because he is "cheating" so we can cheat him, his programs are an exception.

I mean really why even HAVE a rule against requesting warez, cracks and keygens if your going to blatently break the rule on a continued basis? I guess Spit's just not afraid of Paul lawyering up and suing him and/or Bubba for illegally distributing his program like he is of Microsoft or Adobe doing so.

Just bothering me is all. I am pretty sure I will get flammed to all hell and told how "not everyone has $25". But thats okay. I feel better for at least pointing it out.

well, it in a way was illegal in the first place for him to sell a hack for $25, so he could fight it and if he had the money yes he could win, but were only the 1/1000th of the people who used the crack probly

Did you mean to say I better NOT get them banned? Or are you encouraging me to?

I know what you mean, but I see D2 JSP Cracked and Mousepad's Maphack Cracked on the downloads page. So yeah, either get rid of the no warez rule, or get the cracked programs out. :p

this is pretty funny. imo, a person like paul who could be suing people for cracking his program that he uses to cheat in a game. bnet sues paul for cheating and building cheating programs, paul sues all the people who cracked his program and used it. and bnet bans all the botters abd has 5000 diablo players remaining lol.

no i really dont see the point of changing the warez rule, big companies cause big lawsuits and are usually very tempermental. go look through warez yourself to find a crack, dont be lazy. im sure paul understands that, being a genious to write a program to cheat, he would know that if he pissed people off by giving them the program free then charging money for it, some people might crack it themselves. if i was as smart as paul i would make a program just to change the world, not to profit from it. it is sad to see people so brilliant, but so greedy.

I heard Paul just said 'Fvck it, I'm wasting too much time on security for it to be cracked in a week anyway' (Not in those words, mind you) and he just tuned down his anti-crack security considerably.

Why not just get rid of all D2 hacks now?

I find the whole spam crusade pointless. I've gotten warnings from posting sarcastic, social remarks in threads that contained fully structured sentences and addresses to other members, but yet, the two most active threads in this section(and probably the forum) are for the sole purpose of posting one and three words, per post.

That, to me, is a contradiction worth mentioning at this forums

Should be interesting to see what comes from this.

Rock the boat a little, I like it even though I shouldn't.

Why care? Seriously, go play croquet or something.
