you can use many picture editors or such but I think the best is photoshop
I use CS 8.0 but you can use 7.0 too and it will be fine.......  To make sigs, look for tutorials on d2sector or on: www.good-tutorials.com ( Or just google "photoshop tutorials" ) Hope that helps
