i sent this to spit and chesh a while ago and they never responded. this is what i said. tell me what you think.
I think that 100 rep points is too high for veteran member status. Since mods rarely give out reps. I would love it if you lowered it. that way people are closer to the status, and we can get a discount. but the rest is fine. but plz either have the mods give out more rep points or lower the requirement. thanks.
i could've just waited for a response, i know. but i also want to see some of the other mods opinions on this.

I don't think the number should be changed but, I've done a couple things that were rep worthy that I never got a rep for.

Do you know what Veteran means?
I've been here a bit over a year. I'm close but not quite veteran yet. And no offence Crow, but I don't think you've really 'helped' anyone out since you got here. At least not that I've seen. If you were here for a few months and think you should be a veteran, you are sadly mistaken.

100 points is not too much considering every time Spitfire or myself give rep, it's worth 10 points. Supermods give 5-8, and Moderators usually give 3-5. I set it the way it is so people have to work for it. I could set it higher if you want me to......

Mods aren't always catching everything. If you feel you were overlooked, please feel free to PM me or a mod, but don't PM right after you make your post, give us time to find it ourselves.

I think it should be higher since members are not allowed to add rep only mods, people rarely recieve rep point.. so when they do it should be higher like admin adds like 25, supermod 15, mods 5-10. I am stuck with 10 rep for more than a year now.

Mods give 5, supers 10, and admins 20..right? I thought that was how it was already. And yeah, I've PM'ed mods before about giving/getting reps, for posts that I thought deserved em. Just look around, n if you see one, PM the mod of that section.

Mark how long did it take me to become a vet? 2 maybe 3 weeks? If the rep amount was lowered than that would mean more people could give rep meaning back to the old days where you gave rep for anyone for no reason. I give out rep whenever I deem it necessary, not too often but I do give it out.

the minimum time is 3 months. i was wondering because i think after a year, unless you are really just being a duesch, there is no reason you can't be a member. and btw this isn't my first account. i had one back in may 04, but i got my comp taken away for a month and forgot the pass and name. so for the record, i'm not the noob you think i am.

What was your old account? And have you even posted anything in Diablo II sections yet?

You may not be the noob we say you are, but you do a funny job of showing that you're not. You've done nothing except insult people and be a noob from what I've seen.

thats because, for the most part, i hang in the flame wars section. in my mind i like that the best. i get used to it there. and i don't remember my old account.
the reason i don't post in the d2 sections much is because my dad took away my cds for bad grades and won't ever give them back. so i haven't played the game in over 2-3 months. once pyrohammie buys me my new cd's for it, i will post more in those sections.
it was just a suggestion, right now you guys seem to be ripping on me more than me on other people.

I'm talking about flaming, like when you flamed that guy for making the "I'm back" thread. If that was you. I don't care about flaming in the FLAME wars section but out side of it i'm angered.

i know how it feels to lose an account here, but my situation was self inflicted because of a loss of interest in the D2 world...lol my old acc was LuckyLeprechaun_001 or some number close to that, i dont know if anyone remembers me which i highly doubt seeing that its been SEVERAL months..anyways im very off of the subject, anyways..i think the Veteran status requirements are very substantial and should not be changed seeing that the term "veteran" stands for someone who is truly experienced not just some hot shot that does all his post just in hopes of gaing vet status for show off pusposes only

lol ive been here for a while and i dont really care about veterans or what not ... i think that when a mod deems it necesarry to give you rep points then you will recieve them... and Pyrocrow your old account was hawktheslayer i do believe. also off the subject but i think i will start a thred on the deffinition of the word noob... no one on d2sector shoudl call Any one a noob because all it does is show other people how you think you are better than some one else jsut because you have been playing or been a member longer.

why does the tag even matter? if you contribute, you contribute.. having a damned sticker under your name saying your a vet doesn't prove much if all you do is nothing

Means more to some people than to others, hell I wouldn't mind having a veteran status. Been here almost long enough, only need 9 more rep points, I've helped a lot of people, also done some dumb things, all part of learning I guess. Some people might see it as a bit of authority?

meh, its only the internet. if you contribute and help people out, your reputartion alone(not the points, your actual rep) will give you all the confidence and respect required..things like this jus seem trivial to me

Like I said has different meanings to different people, should have seen the rep thing get out of hand before was reset and made so only staff could give them.
