xDBD, you endorse freedom from those that tell you that drug use is bad, but it seems you just exposed how much of a destructive force these drugs that release Dopamine are. Just a little contradictive.

I am completely against the use of drugs because most every drug has a downfall period where you don't feel like doing shit for nobody. How efficient is that? I'm one of those people that hates to see anyone that can't possibly contribute to society eating up our resources and wasting our air. Those born as crack babies or have severe mental retardation. Chuck 'em, how would you expect someone who can't complete their own thoughts in their own brain to do anything but waste our time?

Well anyway, back to somewhat on topic. Yeah, I'm totally pro-choice (but not Democratic, mind you), but I'm not pro-drugs. They'll screw you up and that hurts our economy. Let the developing countries who actually need an escape from stress take the powder, not the working folk.

It's not really contradictive, I just showed what extreme amounts of dopamine release over time does, especially when substance induced. Moderation can fix this, but crack and moderation are two words that just don't fit together IME. I've never seen a crack addict who would hit the rock one time and put it down.I support the legalization and comercialization of drugs for many reasons. If the government would legally issue drugs and tax them, then the idea of overdose would be non-existant. We would have exact doses of active chemicals at our fingertips, and over-doing it is what kills almost everyone with substances. Also, in a legalized world, drugs like heroin, crack, cocaine, ketamine, etc. would be practically impure. Impurities constantly cause problems when shooting up or snorting. Legally synthecized drugs would not have to worry about profit loss, because nothing would be taken by the lovely DEA. All drugs would go directly to profit, and the government would make profit via taxes. If drugs were legal, and we quit telling our youth that one toke of some dank weed would kill you, ecstasy causes major holes in your brain, LSD pools in your spine, etc. and started giving us a some real education on substances, then abuse would be non-existant. Wait, abuse will ALWAYS be here..

however, with an informed nation, and PROPER treatment, abuse would be downplayed to a minor problem. Abuse would be treatable, and ideally they'd be abusing pure product. Prohibation never worked.. when we told our citizens we couldn't booze way back when, bootlegging skyrocketed and everyone just got drunker.

If the government would release them in moderation, then the people who didn't want it at all could sell it to other people for shitloads of money. And what kind of nation would we be if our gov. made money from selling drugs? It's not like we are very respected now as it is.

Look, there's no easy answer to it, and it all comes down to morals and opinions.



The way I see it is like this. Your right to CHOOSE not to use is just as legit and powerful as my right (or choice, in this case) to use. Now, i'm not talking selling in moderation; i'm talking unset amounts of pure drugs available to the public. Look at prohibition man, where has it got us? A nation of teenagers eating cough medication and prescription medicine smashing. There are many drugs that are schedule one that have been used for eons that have caused no more deaths than can be counted on your hands. Did you know that you can kill a man and get parolled in 25 years, but if you manufacture LSD, which holds religious value to MANY people, you get life in prison with no chance of paroll? There are NO known physiological side effects from acute LSD intoxication/poison. It takes around 35 micrograms to get tipsy on LSD-25.. yet people have eaten GRAMS of pure lsd crystal and came down totally normal and fine. Now, this is all becides the point.



Abuse exists, and it always has existed. Certain Mexican kings drank caffeine exclusively. The original assassins of the middle east would smoke marijuana/hashish before strikes to calm their nerves and prepare for battle. Vikings would go on alcohol binges and eat A. Muscaria mushrooms and kill everyone in a drunken, tripping rage. The asians would worship the poppy plant for its sweet milk known as opium. What exactly am I saying?

Abuse will be here as long as psychoactive substances are here. Many psychoactive compounds, and some of the most potent, occur naturally in nature and can be grown VERY easily in your front yard with little to no attention. I remember in DARE classes being told one toke would kill you. One hit of LSD would render you legally insane/retarded. MDMA would make your brain literally melt. Alcohol, in any amount, would lead to death and extreme pain.



The American Govt. stance on drugs is that of ignorance and propaganda. Our nation known no more about drugs than a Christian knows about a Satanist. What that means is, the average Christian (trust me, I've been there more than once) KNOWS that Satanists worship Satan. It's utter bullshit. 99% of the time when people overdose, it's from unreliable product. Not long ago, super potent heroin(neraly pure stuff) was floating around the northeast USA. People were dropping left and right from H overdoses, because the would do their normal dose. Thing is, 300 milligrams of this powder was equivilant to about 5 grams of the average dope.



IF the government would legalize it and sell it in a controlled, sterile manner, this problem would be eliminated. Users could safely and legally buy exactly the amount that they need to get off on with NO worry of overdose or impure product being introduced into their systems. With legal drugs, gang violence would be reduced. With no blow to push, who would the Cartels be? With marijuana legal, there'd be no scenerio where a rapist gets parolled, only to be replaced by an aged hippie who grew and sold weed by the brick. There would be a ton less bullshit.



Another thing is needles. IV drug users are constantly spreading disease by sharing needles. In the USA, it's not very easy to get clean needles and supplies for IV drug users to shoot up safely. It's obvious needle junkies exist, look at all the dope in the Seattle area. With syringes being widely available, legally, the transmission of many blood diseases and HIV would be reduced greatly because IV users could safely and efficiently get new, steryl tools to shoot up with.



As far as the American Govt. losing respect, who gives a shit? How much respect do they have anyway? You can buy mushrooms, peyote, san pedro, alcohol, absinthe, marijuana, shamanic strength tobacco, kratom, morning glory, salvia, etc. in coffee shops in the Netherlands right now totally legal. Who gives the Dutch trouble because of their lax drug laws? In the Netherlands, you don't hear of rapists getting out and people who cultivate Marijuana going in. That shit doesn't happen there. Here, it happens all the time. I know because i've experienced it.

Now honestly, like I said, it's all opinions and morals, but I stand by my cause. I'd die for it no questions asked.
