PLZ HELP with hero editor

OK. I have downloaded hero editor but when i click options to select a char file, there are no files showing up in my useast folder. But when i look in the folder outside of editor they are there. Why can't i find my char????? Plz help

Those are the characters that you use for Closed Battle.Net, which is unable to be edited by an editor. You can only edit the characters that you use for Single Player and Open Battle.net, which are stored at C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Save\

what is the difference in open and closed battle net?

hacks andno hacks basically, on closed u cant really "hack" chars, but on closed u can make any item u want to

Plus, on closed your characters are stored on their server. And on open you use the single player characters stored on your comp.
