Yes, all sources of increased attack speed affects smite. Or, to quote myself:

Quote:4. The basics of Smite and how it works
Before we move on with some suggested gear I'm going to go through the different equipment modifications that actually work with Smite. Let's first take a look at how Smite actually works. Smite allows the Paladin to attack his enemies with his shield, rather than his weapon. It's an unblockable attack that always hits (it always hits). It also depends on weapon speed and range oddly enough, so choose your weapon wisely. Most equipment modifications work with Smite, but there are a few exceptions.

Increased Attack Speed
All sources of increased attack speed work with Smite.

Enhanced Damage
Non-weapon enhanced damage works with Smite. Enhanced damage from a weapon does *NOT* work.

Strength
Higher strength will mean that you do more damage. Just like on a normal attack.

Elemental damage from equipment or auras
This does *NOT* work with Smite.

Physical damage from items
This is the most complicated rule. Items where the additional damage is worded *EXACTLY* like Grief and Asteron's Iron Ward will add damage. Everything else will *NOT* work.

Crushing Blow
This works with Smite.

Open Wounds
This also works with Smite.

Deadly Strike
This does *NOT* work with Smite.

Knocback
There's already a knockback effect on Smite, so this does *NOT* work.

Prevent Monster Heal
This works like normal.

Life and mana leech
Just like it says at Arreat Summit, Smite does *NOT* leech.

Life Tap
In contrary to what I said above, Smite works excellent with Life Tap.

Chance to Cast
This works with Smite, even if found on the weapon.

Hit Blinds Target, Hit Causes Monster to Flee, Hit Freezes Target and Hit Slows Target
All of these work like normal.
