Need Advice on ES FB'ER!

ES FBER = Energy Shield / Fire Baller

I was wondering what would be the most effective way to divide my points, i really want to take some hits with the ES and im going to put alot in energy..suggestions?

If you are ladder, then try this build maybe. Never been tested, but i have faith in it.

Helm:
Shako socket with um
Weapon:
Insight staff with good mods for a firesorc. (And ofc a level 17 medi on)
Armor:
Shaftstop socket with um (heavy damage reduce armor You already reached 63% IAS so)
Gloves:
Magefist
Belt:
Arachnid
Boots:
Waterwalk
Amulet:
Maras Kaleidoscope
Rings:
2x SoJs



Skills:
20 Energy Shield (only reason i heavily use energy shield is because i got meditation aura)
20 Telekinesis
20 Fireball
20 Fire Mastery
20 Meteor (max this last)


Conclution:
Lower damage than most sorc, but have 40% damage reduce, over 80% energy shield absorb, level 17 meditation aura wich equals to 700% mana renegation. Resists ain great but they will work. You got enough mana to absorb heavy attacks.

i would change maras to a +2 to sorc 20% fcr ammy instead... 40% isnt much, 60% is a little better.

You forget the 35% FCR on insight runeword.

If I were you, and extremely rich, I would get a Jeweler's Tiara of the Magus, socket it with three Ith runes, get a Jeweler's Archon of the Whale/Stability/the Nova and socket that with four Ith runes. I've seen friends do this and it's so funny that every time you get hit, their damage goes to your mana, regenerating you. If you're poor, just get a three socket helm and a four socket armor and Ith them both.

That was one of the first thing i tryed when i played the game. It works, exept the fact that it dont remove the damage you take. However it will work if you get your manashield to 95% absorb and max telekinesis. I do not renember how it worked vs elemental and magic damage since its so long time ago, but i know it dont work vs poison.

Just use sanc/circlet. If it bothers you that much get 7%'s on the GC's. I'd much rather be able to have extra hitpoints and decent fhr than good fhr and no hitpoints.
