Keyboard Problem

I have the same problem that Alfzz had in the "Getting into BIOS" thread, but since he alrdy solved his problem and asked a new question, i'm starting this thread.
Well, like Alfzz before, my keyboard doesn't work when i turn on my computer. it goes off and on, and my computer does progress unless the kb is on. i was wondering how do i fix this? how will safe mode help? anyways, my keyboard is usb. plz hlp

your going to have to convert your keyboard to PS2.. and then boot and access your BIOS.. after you're in the BIOS navigate around and see if there is a value that says something to the effect of USB keyboard support.. if its there enable it.. and that will fix your problem.. if your BIOS and Mobo doesnt support a USB keyboard you can find the value that says Halt On: and change that value to NONE or no errors.. and then your computer will not stop or reboot when it doesnt detect a keyboard in the ps2 port.
