Video Probs?

I have been having problems with Diablo II running in 3D mode, I'm not sure what is going on, I can run Half-Life 2 with full graphics and it workes smooth and fine, yet Diablo II will slow down quite frequently and then catch up to itself, especially when novas are being done. My driver is up to date as far as I know, all Windows updates are done aswell.

System:

Windows XP Pro
AMD Sempron™ 2400+
1.68 GHz, 768 MB of RAM
GeForce FX 5200 (NVIDIA)

Is anyone aware of why this might be happening? I run Windows Media Player in the background at times, but even if it is off there are still the same problems. I have updated AVG, there are no viruses, no unnessesary programs or processes running in the background, and no spyware.

Is this while playing online or playing offline single player? If it is online then it is most likely just lag. If not then I dont know what to tell you. Might want to start googeling your processes and see if anything comes up.

But when it comes to bad game play for online games it is hard to pin down where the real problem lies because at that point its not just about your computer it is also about the computer(s) you are connecting to as well. Hence why bench marks for online games are rather "ify" at best because it is partially server dependent.

It's the computer, not the lag. Does it online aswell. But I'm also finding information out on Bnet forum, so if I'm able to solve this I will post and let know how it was done.

i can't pm u so i say just use 2d, i had the same problem A while back so i just use 2d, it makes u lag less anyways and its not like its Crazy bad Graphics or anything, i dont see a difference
