cant log on!!!

Can someone help me plz... everytime i try to log on U.S East it says " Diablo 2 was unable to connect to the realm server. The realm you selected maybe unavavailable or you maybe encountering connection issues. Please make sure your internet connection is working properly and/or your fire wall has port 6112 opened ".

I've checked the connection and it is good. I've also made sure port 6112 is open and it still dosnt wana log on...? Can everyone else get on B.Net east?

all b.net realms are down from 10am-2pm pacific time and 1-5pm eastern time for maintenence

I take it that Blizzard isn't very punctual...because its 2:08....and the servers are still down.
