I challenge everyone to attempt to find out the meaning behind rune names ie el jah ber zod etc and where it came from. For instance Ort is some sort of an acronym for garbage, and tir is a nordic rune that looks like an arrow pointing upwards.

i think tir and ith was gotten from minas tirith from lord of the rings

no whigger, you read that on diabloii.net, tir is a nordic rune that looks like an upwards arrow, mal means bad in plenty of languages and yes pul is the f word PULE AV!
heres another dumb idea, maybe a d2 programmer with a lisp was trying to say ist rune so he said ith rune
