Building a computer

Hmm...im thinkin of building a new one....Yea i know its not easy and stuffs...

But once i got the mobo/processor/rams etc etc... plug em all in...Switch the comp on...What do i expect to see/setup..Gonna have some mental preperation first lol...

It's going to goto the BIOS set up I believe. After that imma guess the CMOS setup. After that, onto the DOS or if you have the OS CD in it will continue to that.

I recently built my own computer. It took me 3 hours to get everything set up. It was my first time building one. I used a guide to help me build it. In my opinion, the guide is great. It covers almost everything about building a computer.

on first boot it will go to the BIOS where upon you shall set it to boot from the cd drive. after which you shall insert the OS cd into the cd tray and restart your computer. there upon you should immeadiatly begin the installation of the OS. Have fun.

look it really all depends on if your going to keep your current HDD (hard drive).. building computers is simple and after you do your first.. its easy (kinda like something eles ) but anyways.. back on topic... if your using your old HDD then your computer will either fatial error when it boots and wont go into windows.. or your comp will actually boot normally, but none of your drivers or your system files are going to be correct so you probably wont be able to get online and so on.. the best thing to do is to boot your computer up... enter the BIOS (usually the master del key) and then make your Primary Boot device the CD-ROM. afterwhich, save BIOS changes and reboot... put in your OS cd and proceed to re-installing your operating system.. its not that hard of a process.. and after a while you'll be able to do it with your eyes closed... some problems that you might run into are: when you first get your motherboard.. open the manual and find the pages that partain to the Reset CMOS jumper and make sure that it is in the correct setting for operation (if you jump one set of pins.... it will reset your BIOS.. if you jump the other set.. it will attempt to boot) basicly.. check all your jumper settings cables and seats on memory and CPU and any other external card u install.. if you do all of that.. you will have a pretty stress-free install....
