cow lvl mistake?

How come i cant seem to open the cow lvl......i defeated baal on normal and tride using a tome (tp) and wirt's leg,but it said i cant use it yet....can someone explain it to me?Or did i get the wrong recipe??lol

Or you not bother with the Moo Moo Farm at all, quit Diablo II: Lord of Destruction entirely (like myself) and play one of the globes many (and satisfying) MMO's. Be warned: This list of satisfying MMO's does not include Star Wars Galaxies, nor does it include the up and coming Star Trek MMO, or the New Lord of the Rings MMO. This is because all three of those franchises have enough geeks as it is. One more can and will cause a catastrophy on a global level. I suggest you play Ragnarok Online (this is assuming you are fluent in japanese), Final Fantasy Eleven (dont let idiots tell you otherwise, its worth the money), Acheron's Call 2 (God Rest its Soul), or Dark Age of Camelot. Or, you can stay with Diablo II and make sure when you attempt to make the portal, its in the same difficulty you defeated Baal in.

Haha! you see, the reason I came to these forums in the first place is because I loved diablo II, and you can't seriously argue that what I said was to the least effective. Anyhow. Don't freak out. I am one of the older members (considering how new these forums actually are) and also know that few people (NOTE: few) take the crap I say seriously. On another note, No, once you've killed the king in norm, you *cannot* make the cow portal again. Also, I am not "obsessed with making people quit the game," but please dont forget, Diablo II is 4 years old now. Besides, its not like I can physically MAKE you quit. I can, however, offer a compelling arguement that is so undeniably irrefutable that you cannot but help see the logic in my statement.

ok. if u want to do cow runs this is what i do. i have 2 different chars. 1 who kills the cow king, the other who makes the cow portal. i join a game with the cow king killer and i mf for 7 minutes. after 7 minutes the game is known as "stable" for a few minutes. this means u can leave the game and come back a minute later and it will still be there. once 7 minutes are up i switch to my cow level making character and i make portal. i switch back to other char and own the cows, get a few sojs (i wish), and continue on with doing so. if u kill the cow king yourself u cannot make the portal again so i advise u do what i do if u want to kill king for his sometimes good items. i believe if u let someone else kill king u can still make the portal but im not 100% sure.

well it's actually 5 minutes in a pw game but yes.... you can xfer this way*sometimes risky* but if there's a gheeds on the ground and you have 1 in your inventory already... and your in some random passworded game i.e.- asfdsalg///oilakjf and no1's on your f list... then wait for 5 min... write down the game name *carefully* and head back in w/a char that doesn't have 1

If someone kills the Cow King for the FIRST TIME (virgin kill), whoever is in the Cow Level will no longer be able to make cow games in that difficulty. It doesn't matter if the virgin killer is partied or not. FYI.

the same happened to me on normal i didint know how or what then i downloaded mousepads crack and it told me i had killed the cow king
