I can definately reccomend 'ZoneAlarm Pro with Web Filtering' and SpyBot S&D! Those two are a must have.. As for Pc Cillin and McAfee I wouldnt touch them with a 10ft poll!

and for spyware scanners i suggest:
ad-aware, and HiJack This(a very good program, but u shuld know what ur deleting first!)

Pc Cillin is very good as is AVG although avg has very few updates
if you wnat to get all spy ware you NEED both spybot S&D and AdAware.
S&D gets all those nasty home page changers and some viruses as well as most trackers
while AdAware gets all the spyware programs

no it isnt as i said it ****s around in BIOS and although you may not notice it it can cause serious problems it is not good
(probs like a slowing your computer down making yur computer believe that it hs really bad stuff in it cause the hd to need reformatting etc etc...)
