Ladder to NonLadder trading question

Is it possible to trade ladder items to a non ladder player? I think its possible because I have seen people with ladder only items but I thought maybe they just hacked them somehow. I want to know more about this so that I dont have to lose all my gear when a ladder resets. Also can you do this vice versa as in nonladder to ladder?

when ladder resets everything goes to nl and ladder just reset a couple of weeks ago so thats why theirs people with ladder only items

yeah and your items dont go away when it resets they just stay there and your characters become non-ladder and so when it reset thats how we have all those ladder only items

Ohhh thanks so much, because I know a lot of people were really pissed off about the reset so I figured your char just got reset for the next ladder season. I never really got into ladder but I wanted to for some of those items.

Also, when they say a ladder char is getting "twinked" what does that mean?

I should know a lot of this stuff but I mainly just play solo games or with my brother.
