what editor is the best

plz help me what editor should i use for d2 lod?? and im not good with downloads so plz help me

There are three good all-in-one character editors that I am familiar with. It depends what you want to do with the editor to determine what editor is best for you.

1) Hero Editor, by ZonFire99 (me, lol) - easiest to use for beginners (with a bit of learning), very stable

2) UdieToo, by SRV - excellent graphics, uses game MPQ files, so best for Mod game suppport, best for hex editing (but be careful, this makes it easy to screw up your character file)

3) Horadric, by ChaCha - uses html, so can be used on Mac computers, requires hex editor to import and export character file data, limited support of some features (such as Set items)


Also, an excellent in-game editor is Diabolic, by Mitja. This is the only way to get high Stats with a V1.10 character, after the character is loaded into a V1.10 game.

Lok for Shadow Master, and D2 Editor on the internet, In D2 Editor, you can upgrade gems, get all skills at any level, Max out all of your stats, and choose which quests and waypoints you want, you can make your character a levell 99 matriarch/Patriarch, and keep going back to harrogath to get TAL, ORT and RAL rumes, to get stuff personalised and to get sockets added. If you go there in hell you can often find rare and unique items from the shops and gambling with Anya

I expect that you can get Hero Editor V0.80 (written by me, ZonFire99, lol) from this site's downloads. Otherwise, you can get Hero Editor V0.80 or V0.82 from http://www.ladderhall.com in the Downloads forum.

Well it is a moving target. We have almost 40,000 members, all with somewhat different ideas. So, it can be a challenge to keep everything running smoothly and looking good too. I have just been promoted to an Admin at that site, so I can probably have more of a hand at making changes.

maybe u can break down the number of categories......there are too many and the page is so long.....try to make it as many as d2sector's......it should improve a little...

hey ZonFire99 i have got ur download of the Hero Editor but im a noob at hacking on D2 ive only been playin open b.net for about a week so can u explain to me on how to use it. I have it on my Desktop and i can use it if i knew how to edit the D**n items or if i could actually find find the items. I am currently using UDIETOO download i got from a site, I cant remember the name of it though. So plz help me in figuring out how to use ur program.
