Creating 'Tyrael'

Well i bet every forum has one. A guy who thinks tyrael is the bomb. I am that guy. My signature, My avatar, and my paladin orintation all are key signs to this.

Well, i'm here to set that in stone for good. I want to try to build a paladin that will resemble tyraels angelic appearence, as well as embody his heroic armory.

As you can tell, i'm planning on creating a build that involves using Tyrael's Might AND Azurewrath. I'd Like him to be a Zealot/FoH for PvM. I Really want htis build so if anyone could post some ideas and maybe even a build that can tie right in, i would be very happy.

Stale topic strangely enough. had like 4 people watching the post, but they left, so i guess its up to me to make a Wild Stab (and it is gonna be very wild indeed, i don't know anything about making custom tailored hybrids).

Stats
Strength - Low as possible, Tyraels Might is Requirement free and offers excellent bosts to Strength.
Dexterity - As High as needed for capped CTB.
Vitality - Pump it as high as you humanly can.
Energy - MIGHT be worth considering several (15-30) pts here as we are a melee/caster.

A Note aside, i won't be using fanatacism. I don't believe it would make this a viable build, and hey if we need Conviction for FoH, use it with zeal to get a high Chance to hit without needing to use Angelics!

Equipment -

Of course, we need to use Tyrael's Might and Azurewrath, but what to use with them? We need more +Strength and obviously as much PDR % max mana and %ED as possible.

Rings1 - Raven Frost
Rings2 - Dual Leach + Strength/Mana R/C ring
Amulet - Mara's or Eye of Etlich or Highlord's (try to pick up some extra IAS here)


Fighting Monsters - Low lvl Zeal - Rely on melee, then FoH and Large hordes of undead
- Low lvl FoH - FoH the Tougher monsters, then melee.
- High Level FoH - Foh Like mad, Dont run much, youll be hitting them hard enough
- High Level Zeal - Zeal em all, FoH Lighning immunes and huge packs of undead. Use FoH to open boss battles.

Fighting Players - Not Low level builds wont be counted as PvP, after low level is done, try to turn into a high level.
-High Level FoH - Best form of PvP Fighting. Show FoH and your wiz spike/lidless switch and then switch over to azurewrath after they've put on Absorb eqpt to kill you. This is not bad manner, it's smart fighting.
-High Level Zeal - Relies more on the Killing-them-after-they-put-on-sorbs-eqpt part Hope lke hell they dont see from your different eqpt that you're a hybrid. if they notice it theyll pretend to switch, and kill you (if they're smart). Maybe use treads of Cathon in this duel so you can chase after them once they realize mistakes. Those points in vigor help. Also switching back to FoH can give them a nasty zap if they try to run...

find some people to make a mod for the game, so u can fight w/ or as tyreal. i dunno that build will prolly get boring for you.

I don't know if it's relevant, but I beleive the blade Azurewrath was actually Izual's blade; since it's a unique blade there was only one of them. Perhaps after Izual was killed Tyrael took the blade for himself, and that would be the blade he threw at the Worldstone in the cinematic sequence after you kill Baal.

As for the whole build, I'm not really sure but you may not need any energy as its not probably needed that much.

I LOve paladins. I Love melee builds. I Love awesome magics. Tyraels a pimp. I DONT WANT TO ACTUALLY BE HIM!!!!!!! This guy's more of a really cool paladin living up to tyraels namesake and power. He's a mortal that was so impressed by his power that he took up the mythic azurewrath and fought the prime evils. He isn''t tyrael, simply a highly influenced mortal, trying to prove his worth.

Yes, Azurewrath was forged by Tyrael and lost by Izual who weilded it in an attack on the hellforge to prevent the completion of Shadowfang. He and all of his med died and Azurewrath was lost forever. Sometime between act 4&5 Tyrael recovers the blade and uses it to destroy the worldstone (Listen to Tyrael Talk about Izual, he says "The blade was lost forever" or something liek that. And btw there isnt one of em, look on the trade channels and youll see 1-2 selling over a 1-2 week period.

-Removed 15/15'd COA as a viable option for this build, too pricey, wasteful, too much extra Strength.

-Narrowed boot choices down. Now reccomending duped rares all the way, Silkweaves if you're poor.

Ok, I've been playing so far, and i've found that early game you want high physical damage, but later (As soon as you get Conviction) it is MANDATORY to switch to any high elemental damage weapon. I Reccommend saving an Eth and puttin it in order with the runes you get as a reward for the Act V quest (not sure which one) and placing those runes in order (Eth Ral Ort Tal) into a 4 Socketed Battle Scepter (Get one with base mods like +3 Zeal/, +3 FoH, +3 Conviction/HS, and use your socket quest / find one with the predefault sockets). This makes an excellent early game weapon due to its high elemntal damage. Using this weapon alone my character is able to fight in WSK lvl 3 AND throne of Destruction with LITTLE DIFFICULTY as early as LEVEL 37!!! I've found no other charactr (summon necro aside) capable of putting out such early results, AND this is in a typical baal run game with 8 people in it. I Play SP, but i am certain i'd be asking what build and items i'm using if i played on Cattle.net

umm your trying to look like him so a shako would be better becuase it looks like a hood also if u want to resemple his appearance u have to use a set most likely griswolds set to give the aura and you have to use str glitch for your weapon and shield so it would appear as if your not carrying any weapon, just like tyreal.

I Dont Strength Glitch. IT Doesn't Work for me. Character screen doesnt change, so i dont believe it works (I know, it lies about smiter dmg, blah blah blah... I KNOW).

I Origionally reccomended Shako AND 2x15/15 Coa, but it was too expensive, as you can see by my updated post i made.

I Recently Updated my game to Version 1.11, and so far I will make no changes. In the Weeks to come i Will be watchin the mods forums in expectancy of the soon-to-be-released single player to realm mod coming out (Includes keys, Ladder Uniques, Ladder RR's, Artifacts, Hellfire Torch, And a single sold SOJ will spawn DClone)

If You want the pimp "look", then may I suggest Lawbringer instead of Azurewrath? It has level 18 Sanctuary and other nice mods, however, the Sanctuary aura would go perfectly with the proto-Tyrael look...

So far I've Seen good things. Baal was a cakewalk when he didnt mana burn me, and his minions gave me moderate trouble after my mercenary got into a Lore Helm and a Rare Pike. I belive the character is showing promise. I still have no word as to the progress of the mod I spoke of Earlier.

this is a weird build and i dont think that zeal will be that good without synergy from sacrafice or dmg from fanat but ill give it a shot..

- u cant reach 86% bp for fhr w/o coa so this gives u the next 1 which is 48=30%bloodfists+10%dungo+20%treks=60>48

Lol its a funny idea, but I like it! If you wanted the gold look, there's orange armor that you can get, or even goldwrap. But then I suppose you'd want to use Tyrael's Armor seeing it's his!

the point is to use tyraels armor.. goldwrap is a belt u wouldnt see it when u wore it. if u wanted to look gold u would have to wear a venom ward... GG

I Think they mean GoldSKIN. Thats a normal unique armor that looks decent. I used to like it alot, but that was way back when.
