So this thread if for the beloved Necromancer user- whether its a Bone build, poision build WHATEVER...

Post something so that all other necromancer users can read and compare strategies for this class.

I'll start.

My bone-mancer is lvl 76. I used a culmination of strategies.

My aim was to MAX all bone skills except for bone armour.

The only skills i haven't mastered are Bone Spirit & Bone Prison.

My focus on Stats was VIT / DEX [aiming for 75% blocking]. I'll get my item details now

So if one is aiming for a 75% chance to block?- should the shield block rate be higher than 65%? [what are the chances or a regular norm/excep/elite item being that]?

does the necro health trapp still work (where all u use is iron maidon and a blood golem)... plz tell me if it does or dosent

unfortunately that bug has been fixed... so using a blood golem in hell difficulty is far more dangerous now.

Your better off with clay, fire OR iron golem.

A shield with 65% block rate wont be hard to find so just focuse on defense/attack rating

So putting points into DEX or increasting it with items etc. yeah- i'm focusing on that.

ok. this is the thing i use pisn necros and to have a good pisn necro is that u need a very good daggerand hopefully really chep to reapir.

u should max out poisn dagger and poisn nova.
those are the bare fact te make a nice pisn necro if u have trang set, throw in a bit of cureses u dont realy need them unless u got a vry poor group of items.
pisn explosin should be 15 or something near there. wit that the pisn nova should do almost 1k damn and wit a good dagger, u should do almost 2k wit everything correct with the pisn damnage now dont call me a ***** 4 hit and runn cause 4 a pisn necro u need some patience to kill ppl

u need 4 items or put it into mana Dot argue wit me im jus writing what i think

thanks- i'm acutally starting a poison necro now.

in terms of duelling? what are poison dullers capabilities and probability of killing another class with poison- considering poison from monsters doesn't kill us?

-dagger
-explosion
-Nova
are all level 20

A second poison nova will kill, but generally you would use teeth (or bone spear/spirit). You could always hit him with your wand...lol

actually i haven't dueld w/my poison-mancer... but if your a poison-mancer for god-sake don't use poison dagger... ok standard layout...

equipment:
Helm: Shako (5/5 psn facet socketed)
Armor: "bramble" there really isn't a choice here.. especially in dueling (lvl 16-21 thorns) and crazy psn dmg+%
Wand: Perfect death's web (5/5 psn facet)
Rings: Sojs if you can, if not fcr/life/res rings
Belt: Arachnid... mmmm what else? fcr... +skills... max mana... jesus
Ammy: Can anyone say p maras?
Boots: This is debatable.. but i personally like waterwalk (lots of life )
Gloves: Trangs... no question +25% psn dmg.. +2 curses... (u'll use lower res)
Shield: Homunculus personally... boneflame is good because it can have +1 more skill but... with the +2 curses (once again for lwer res) and hella block mod... (dia socket it for 59 all res or psn facet it )

this gives you insane amounts of psn dmg... (makes baal runs fun... psn explosion with this setup.. upwards of 35k dmg W/O lower res!!! Not to mention 10k psn nova w/2 second dura and no lower res, mmmmm...... it's all g2g

Technique/Tactics:
Psn nova as soon as they in range (after u curse em w/lower res of course)... 1 point into teeth... then dead lol... and the bramble really comes in handy against melee chars who decide to take their last 2 seconds of life to attack you... then they just save you the trouble of wasting some mana on teeth... and you can have up to -75% enemy poison res just by lower res curse alone (+13 to curses all counted up.. w/o charms) and including the facets.. ur lookin at a possible 90% neg psn res...see how it all adds up? PLUS you have skills left over to max bone armor for those tight dueling situations..

Thats a good setup for a poisonmancer. Just one thing is you do NOT max bone armour, 1 point is enough, max bone wall or bone prison, it helps both your bone armour and your teeth (and gives you an extra skill along the way too)

trangs is the #1 gear 4 a necro wit marrowwalk<i have them both > but the weap is all up to u.

i like a nice wand like the runeword "white" but its not to good after lvl 30

i remade my necro and doing it again still

that is true trangs slowes ur cast rate but it make u look really tight

pluse bout +10 to some skils in total <thik its 2 to each abd 5 4 clompele set>

most of my cahras are jus 4 regular playeers who get around wit out much MF<i only have 20 at max all the time >

well ok... if u can't afford bramble.. that many psn facets... homunculus w/e fine trangs will SCRAPE by... but honestly w/the lack of fcr it just really sux..i hate that... ok fine trangs isn't THAT bad but my equip setup is MUCH better... honestly.. you only get +5 total nec skills from trangs... when you could be getting +5 just from helm/shield/belt and you get armor that ups psn dmg 70-100%.. i mean jesus cmon that's worth way more to a psn mancer than mana regen... think about how much trangs gloves alone boost ur dmg.. and thats' just 25% plus the thorns and spirit of barbs... i mean cmon you really can't get better... not as far as i know anyways..
