Help D2 is being weird!

One day i opened up d2 and then found a new patch 1.11b was out and now downloading. Then after the patch was updated, it just said "Connecting to Fastest Server..." for a long time. Then after a few mins it says that i dont even have a connection to the internet.

I reinstalled d2 all over again and its still the same. Can someone help me plz?

edit: oh and i hope its really 48 hours becuz i dont want my chars to expire just becuz of this. that would be pure bs. i dont wanna see my hard earned items and made chars go to waste just like that.

If Your Using D2 Loader, then make sure its the most up to date. alot of the time loaders will have skiptobnet. it happened to me, i was playin 1.10 on closed bnet wen the 1.11 patch was out. i was lagging like hell and i could hardly move and some kid said there was a new patch out, so i took off skip to bnet and then wen i updated and went back in that happened to me.

try downloading from battle.net

try download the gateway editor, and make sure the IP are as following:

UsWest = uswest.battle.net
UsEast = useast.battle.net
Asia = asia.battle.net
Europe = europe.battle.net

that worked for me, if not, then its a long temp IP ban and youre screwed and have to wait a long time.
