well WoW was never released in South Africa because of our shitty internet connections i was thinking to order a copy of amazon or something.

but can someone tell me what kinda a connection u need to play properly, what costs are involved and what s the best realm to play on if there are different realms on WoWconfused:

WoW has at least a US and EU realm, I actually know some people from South-Africa who play on the EU realms.
I play WoW on a standard cable connection (don't have a clue on the mbit though). The biggest problem is system lag (Ironforge, grrr). I have 512 MB ram, and it isn't enough to instantly load all the people in Ironforge Sad

If you buy from Amazon you will probably get the US one, though. I don't know about the realms there, but I think they are more populated

usually net connections dont play a big role in MMO's... as opposed to say an FPS. if you got like 56k or less, and try connecting to a US server... that might end up going quite bad, but that's not for sure. we have a few 56kers in our guild and they can play fine. otherwise id recommend a EU version.
