Where can You download an unsafe version of Directx?

Yeah, A|fzZz try using alternative drivers, such as Omega's, they tend to solve most of my problems.

EDIT: You seem to have a decent graphics card? I used to have a crap Laptop, and my computer would hang every single time that I installed a newish Directx (so I had to format my computer all the time to try to get rid of it, they didn't have Directx removal tools then), yeah so I'm assuming that it may be because of the Directx version. Try falling back to an older version.

Theres nothing wrong with ATI.. I use a 9800 PRO without any probz.

Maybe you should try re-formatting your comp. Even if it doesnt fix this particular problem its a worthwile thing to do every X months :p

DirectDraw and AGP Texture acceleration are disabled, i had this problem once. try googling on how to enable them. I remember that solved my problem.

edit: if you have the disk that came with your video card that has really old drivers on, install them then install the latest drivers after.
