new age tyranny
#1
Well, ill start off saying that ive been up for a couple days, doing some deep meditation and introspection, and thought id lighten up for a bit with some anti-bush conversation(that never fails to cheer me up Big Grin ) Id like to think that im in a higher state of thinking right now, but im probably just frie from lack of sleep, i cant really tell hehe.. this post will probably end up getting closed like the last bush thread..
Dont bother posting your argument/disagreement, i wont really be checking these forums too often(gettin tired of D Sad )

Well ive been thinking about useless stuff, and ive come to this conclusion: Present day politicians have much more in common with the tyrants of late than most people will realize.
It seems that when you get down to it, humanity is driven by two prime factors: FEAR and the DESIRE for sexual union. Religion is based on provoking fear, and all great rulers in history have used fear to keep their power. Look at stalin, hitler, caesar.... all invoked intense fear in their people, and that was the key to the level of success they attained. Well, now your saying to yourself 'what the fvcks your point? im not scared of that little rat sitting in our throne!!' Well, it seems as though our leaders have gotten smarter, they dont directly instill fear in the hearts of people, no no, they only set up a situation which will invoke intense fear, and then manipulate that fear. Like the war on terrorism, we are in a situation which demands a paralyzing amount of fear, and politicians arent trying to reduce our fears at all, no, they may give that illusion but really, they are only adding to it. We go on red alert at the slightest disturbance or threat, no matter how 'bullshite' the source may be, such as phony bomb threats. We scare travelers into thinking that a NAIL CLIPPER could be used to hi jack an airplane and crash the party in the oval office. We scare our children with metal detectors in our schools.
Ive got to give the weasle some credit, hes put up the illusion that hes our knight in shining armor, protecting us all; while these same these same protective measures actually make us all the more afraid.
We are a nation thriving on fear, and that same fear will be our downfall. We are scared shitless of everything and anything, so we all buy guns to 'protect' ourselves.. the result? There were around a couple hundred deaths from gun violence in germany in a given year, about 50 in australia and japan, china, and canada(not exact figures, but close enough to make a point) compared to ELEVEN THOUSAND in this country! You know what this gun violence causes? thats right- fear, know what that fear causes? thats right- more guns, more paranoia. Its a viscous cycle.
The 9/11 incident... where to begin... bush and daddy have donated BILLIONS yea thats right, billions, to bin laden. they have given weapons and money to iraq to war with iran, and theyve secretly given weapons to iran at the same time.... They are intent on perpetuating the hatred in the middle east, knowing that it will spill into our lands soon enough, and when that happened.. guess who was there to save the day? yea thats right
We may kill all the innocent brown people we want, but the fact is, we are losing the war on terrorism. As long as we live in this constant state of fear, we are letting them have the upper hand. The shock of panic we all felt is exactly what they wanted, as long as we live in fear, they are in control, a simple fact.

I hope this was somewhat coherant, if i were to fully clarify myself, id prolly crash d2sector from the size of my post.....
Thanks for reading, sorry if i wasted your time hehe

u wasted no time i may e the only persont o read the whle thing. but its very true. death leads to fear and fear leads to death. but in the end everything works in a circle. many people complain about George bush but if u dont like him why didnt u vote for the oposing group. Bush only realy won by maybe 100,000 less votes. if more people had the mentality to go and do something other then saying "well if i dont go someody else will". u may not have George in power right now. i mean clinton may have been impeached for doin it in the oval office but in my opinion he was a damn better president then bush. and in the end hasen't there been a scandal with every president before clinton.

Sorry, I have to disagree... Clinton sucked as a president what did he do? How do you think 9/11 happened? Oh... Let's see... he cut major funding to all these major programs including the CIA! Now tell me that wasn't a mistake. If you mention the economy well it had to come down, the economy was at it's peak and if it didn't it would lead to inflation, have a problem talk to Allen Greenspan. (Not sure on the exact spelling of his name.) We are not, thats right not, losing the war on terrorism. We are winning, I don't care how scared the population may be, but we are not going to lose this war, when's the last time we have lost a war? (Don't say Vietnam I know, that was a screw up, who ever planned that war and used the strategies they did should have been shot, you don't send hundreds of thousands of soldiers not trained for that kind of warfare charging into the blinding fray.) It's not that we try to out do everyone it's the fact that we can't stand to see us not accomplish something we started. Bush, sure he may be a little slow, and at times dumb, I think he's a great president. Much more than Clinton. We will win this war. And I hope he kicks the crap out of Senator Kerry in the election.

I'm gonna go into the more philosophical debate here simply because i just feel like it.

Humanity seems to be driven by a few basic things, politics, war, sex, money and to a lesser degree art and science. Although the inspiration for the later 2 normally come from the main 4. I guess its just our nature, learn to live with it i say.

I understand what you mean about fear being used to run a society but one thing that is certain is that although such methods work for short ammounts of time they never last. People as surprising as it is given an oppurtunity, they see through the bullshit fairly quickly. Particularly children, which is why i hate all this crap about protecting our "precious young" from the world around them. I hate this mentality.

As far as our modern governments, specifically that of the western world, i don't really believe they are as bad as the tyrants of our old world.

People seem to expect the goverments to perform some kind of miracles, but things are just more complicated then that. Governments are run by people and have the same flaws as anything else bassed on human insight. This is just one of those other things your just going to have to get used to.

One problem may simply be there are already too many of us, there are too many varrying oppinions and it becomes increasingely difficult to make everybody reasonably happy. Once you start to need private id's to get around anywhere maybe thats a sign that things are turning for the worst. So maybe we should just build some massive spacecraft and go off to some new distant planet, create a new society?

Or maybe its the fact that certain organizations are continuely allowed to have a say in how governments should work, like the church, private corperations etc.

Maybe democracy is a tired old system that needs a change?

I believe that bush is for the most part a good president. I think this because without war, ones country would get "bullied" around by others who lust power and tyranny. However i think he should pull the troops out and stop spending so much money. I heard a statistic that with all the money spent on the war we could feed the world for months.
