Best defence armour

What is the best armour, for defence stats that anyone has found, made or bought?
My level 63 Barb has got aome Holy Chaos Plate of the Squid, which has a value of 819 defence, but I once saw some Ornate Plate with a defence value of 1,260. :eek:

The best defense armour i know of is Ik armour. if you have the full set on, the armour (just the plate) has a def rating of around 1360.

theres ones that have more then that. i've seen a rune word wired fleece that was boomed up to about 1650 because of the runes in it. it just depends. if you have a strong ornate plate and then put a rune word in it im sure you could pass 2000 but def doesn't really count as much as resists in hell so don't think because you have 5000 def armour, that you will own because you can still get killed in the same amount of time as if you had 1000 def armour.
