you could buy a muscle car, build a massive engine from the ground up, and put all the extra features you wanted in it and not only would it destroy a ferarri but it wouldn't cost you half as much.

i'm all about power and i prefer the look of a classic muscle car over a ferarri any day.

I prefer older ones, more style to them.

Probably because I fail to appreciate the beauty in what I see around me constantly.

I like the looks of the new cars better but for the engine and the power id go with that pontiac Gto.

Never a big car person. So many guys keep up with it. It's considered a manly thing to do. Never really was my cup of tea though. I'd buy something that's cheap and that works. Maybe I'll get someone to "Pimp my ride" for free. Damn...does anyone know "X-hibit's" cell?

I highly doubt pimp my ride is for free i bet the people pay more than the car is worth to pimp it up.

Also by modern i dont mean only the sport cars, i am talking about any car older than 1990.

When I was at school, my housemaster was ex-SAS (Special Air Services), and he told us that when he used to be in the regiment, they took a Fiat Uno and put a souped-up Ferrari engine in it... It could do 1-60 miles in 5.1 seconds i think... And that was like 30 years ago...

there's a corvette drag car at the track i go to that can run 1000 ft. in 3.8 seconds. no more than 20k was spent on the car. of course it has an all fiberglass body and a supported frame/roll cage so its not exactly street legal. so if you want street legal i used to be in a car club a while back and our chapter president's dad owned a 69 Camaro, all original sheet metal except the hood (cowl hood to clear the intake) has a 502 big block under the hood kickin out a little over 800 horses. i nearly shit my pants every time i ride in it.

Myself, I like the old muscle cars just for the cool factor. But, here's how it breaks down. Todays mustang gt has nearly the same performance as a 1968 mustang gt 350. The thing is, the new mustang does it with power windows, air, power seats, cd player and so on. The old mustang had a gas gauge and an am radio. However, like I said, the 68 gt 350 is WAAAAYYYYY cooler.

If you are talking about driving it as an everyday car, I like the new cars, for a weekend cruiser, gimme 60's muscle any day.

American muscle, all the way. It appeals to both the sight and sound of most Americans, which is more than I can say for a Ferrari, which is just a high price tag. I've gone to high-end car shows and I definately looked at the muscle cars for longer than the Ferrari's and Lambo's.

My dad had a 69 Z28 Camaro that he remodeled himself.. White with the two black stripes. Before I was born, he would enter it into car shows and such, it was really nice.. But he sold it when I was like 7 or 8 and bought himself an airplane. I really woulda liked having that car, heh.

That's a 67 GT 500 Mustang, one of the most beautiful cars I have seen in my oppinion. So I must go with Muscle cars. By the way yes, this was the car in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds.

Also, the Jaguar is a European car not American made. There are some Jags with American conversions on them though. Much like mine actually.

Sweet choice on bringing up the Chevelle man. Such a nice car.
