Denver Legalizes Marijuana

Well its official, votes came in that 53% were for Legalizing Marijuana. So it was passed. However, State law still trumps it making the act virtually useless, but nevertheless the law was passed.

Minor drug offenders fill our prisons. In oklahoma the will lock u up 4 life if they get u with intent to sell... ie more than on oz. Drug violence is only associated with drug policy. Drugs should be a public health issue not a legal one. right? The reason it is illegal is because of Special intrest groups(tobacco) being allowed to buy out the government...Just think of how much tobacco companies would lose due to the legalzation of a nicer smoking leaf??? gg Philip morris......

Marijuana does in fact, like all smoke(carsonogens[sp?]), cause cancer. So if thats your arguement than you might as well make bbq illegal.

Well while everyone is flocking to Denver, the state of Colorado is making so much cash, because the fines will be left and right. Co. Law still states you can't have any marijuana on you. <1 oz = 1000 or so dollar fine. > is then a true crime and you are sent to jail.
