Administrators are the only ones that can change IPs on a network. If you are on a network, try disabling your firewall. Some firewalls are very strict. Try uninstalling D2 and getting rid of all signs of both the hack and the d2 files. You can keep the save files but delete everything else. Then try reinstalling D2. Also make sure you delete all keys in the registry, if any, that the hack could have made (WARNING: Be careful in the registry, people have had to format and reinstall windows because of deleting the wrong keys)
I've known about Volf's Mod since Spitfire announced CCM3. I almost can't wait on that mod. Volf keeps adding things to it. He's kinda addicted to modding, lol. Hopefully it'll be out in time for the end of school so i won't have to be bored during the Summer.

I've tried all of that...no response...even w/o my firewall off...i just think my school's finally buckled down...only thing i have left to do is to download a linux dirivative..then go thru manually and knock the firewall out..lol..so.guess we'll see how that goes

exodus.battle.net
thats what it says under server list.... what is that?
03-28-2004, 12:34 PM
216.148.246.34
thats the ip under aux bnet
03-28-2004, 12:42 PM
hmm.....those are just the ip address ur on when you're on a certain realm...i'm not really sure why you cant get on..unless some how your ISP upgraded and isn't letting you get on by use of a firewall...if you're runnin any firewalls try turning them off..or try getting Spybot: search and destroy..great program that eliminates a bunch of kijargen...also...try goin to housecall.antivirus.com and using their online virus scan...other than that...not really sure what else to tell ya other than just give it a few days

YES i got it to work go to ur regedit, go to the users folder, then software, then delete the folder that says battle net and do the same on the local folder. it ***ed up ur battle net server list, but now i cant get on uswest (the server i play on) its a lot faster tho, it connects, accesses account, then says cant connect in less than a second.. all other realms work
03-28-2004, 05:53 PM
hmm....so go to my regedit and delete the folder that says battle net....sounds kinda fishy...before you deleted it did you try playing on other realms...cuz if you didnt..than maybe you just couldnt get on to uswest..i dunno
03-28-2004, 06:08 PM
i cant go to uswest, its wierd, but all other realms work...
03-28-2004, 06:12 PM
What i'm asking is before you delted that thing out of that folder, did you try other realms prior to that?
03-28-2004, 06:16 PM
ya none of the realms worked before that
