wolf druid...for melee only?
#1
well i'm a big fan of builds. so today i felt like making a fury druid. werewolf (obviously)... but noticed that all that's in the druid guide stickies, is crappy wind druids. rolleyes:

not that they are crappy. but why isn't there some actual original druid builds in the sticky? most of you people know what your doing in Diablo. so how about some love for the less popular builds?

may seem like common knowledge to everyone to build a wolf. but how about some options. i may be a fan of builds, but i'm not a fan of being restricted to 1 and ONLY 1 type of build.

i need options to match my style of play. my style of play is being poor confused:
i'm not exatcly poor. but i've got like 25 or so charcters. each with adequate equipment. some with exceptional equipment. but. i can't be tied down to the same exact build. because A) i can't afford to stack all of my best equipment into one charcter. and B) it's boring as crap.

so plz give me some options plz.

i know of the pure fury druids.

and i've heard of the fury/ rabies druid build.. sounds like the best to me. for hell. especially for poor people.

any others!?

btw, i don't know the skills for any of them. so some light shined on them would be helpfull.

plus equipment is not that important. but it would be nice to see what i should aim for.
i tend to get what i need as i go.

much thanks for all of your help. it seems everyone over looks (or expects ppl to know what melee wolves should have. but i'm pretty new to melee.)

thx agian.

EDIT: oh and non-ladder. i can't start over from being semi-rich to being a poor turd. i worked to hard, for the stuff i have. yes and it's all legit and all gotten on solo games Big Grin
any variations in melee builds would awesome.

anyone can play casters. i think playing in hell with melees are much harder than playing with casters. of course i'm probably wrong. but i ussually never use a merc or branch off into different element trees.

need help? and agian thank you.

fireclawers are nice builds but if you plan on making one dont go a wolf use a bear. Stuffs very cheap too except for the ideal armour and high life skillers.

You need a: 6 shaeld phase blade (no arguments here),
jalal
storm shield
angelic amu + ring
raven frost
verdungoes
mage fists
Decent pair of boots i use aldurs
uped vipermagi or a stone, if you can afford it get a coh

If you stock up on skillers which are very cheap if they are plain you can easily reach about 10k damage Fuggle nuggets fireclawer does 16k or something.

Reason you use aa bear is the life and defence mods are far more usefull than the attack speed. You get about 5 hits per second i think with the phase balde.

For a Fury Werewolf Druid, I suggest you build heavily on your strength. I, personally, play a werewolf.

Strength and Dexterity play key in a werewolf. You want some pretty hefty armor and weapons - as a werewolf, you get some pretty decent stamina, so heavy weapons and armor won't effect you as much. Until you get to Fury, I suggest you put alot of points into Feral Rage - it hits more, and later on it steals decent life.

I'll add to this later....

Like I said, I'll add to this later...Anyway, Feral rage hits alot more with consecutive hits. And, if you have a full charge, your Fury will go even faster.

I do have one thing to say about a Fury Druid, though - the max hit on Fury is 5 (I think) and if you don't have a godlike dexterity, you'll only hit 1-3 times. With the damage it does, it's worth it, but if you want to max it I suggest you hit the hundreds in dexterity around lvl 25 or so, which is hard if you're going for your strength.

....Anyway, happy demon hunting.
