Guide To 1.10 Lightning Sorc

There has been much controversey over which Sorceress is better, Lightning, Fire, or Cold. In my mind, Lightning has proved to be the most useful. The most important thing to remember about a lightning Sorceress is that many of their skills are unimportant. When you first level put your skill into charged bolt and then proceed as follows:

(Level) - (Skill)

(2-5) - (Charged Bolt)
(6) - (Static Field) - This skill is unimportant. Only 1 Point for Prerequisites
(7) - (Telekinisis) - This skill is unimportant. Only 1 Point for Prerequisites
(8-11) - (Charged Bolt)
(12) - (Nova) - This skill is unimportant. Only 1 Point for Prerequisites
(13-17) - (Lightning)
(18) - (Teleport)
(19-23) - (Chain Lightning)
(24) - (Energy Shield)
(25-39) - (Chain Lightning) - At Lvl 39 You Will Have Maxed Out In This Skill
(40-54) - (Lightning) - At Lvl 54 You Will Have Maxed Out In This Skill
(55-66) - (Charged Bolt) - At Lvl 66 You Will Have Maxed Out In This Skill
(67-86) - (Lightning Mastery) - At Lvl 86 You Will Have Maxed Out In This Skill

For levels 87-99 you should put your skill points into thunderstorm. This is recomended although you may feel the need to put a few more points into energy shield or teleport.

If this is for PvM, what do you do against Lightning immune? If this is for PvP, energy shield is a bad idea.

Yes, a good question. This all depends on your ability to get/trade for items. My current staff gives me lvl 6 blizard and a chance to cast lvl 16 blizzard when hit. My suggestion is to not do games with lighting immune unless you are with another player.

Yeah, dragonxx is right. For lvls 87 on Thunderstorm is not necessary. Cold skills could help you later on in the NM Worldstone Keep where things like Black Souls (Light Immune) appear.
