Well in that case you can get a +2 sorc/20fcr/+other mods circlet.... and put a topaz in it (you can also get them with 2 sockets)

I just wanted to let you know i likeed the guide. Didn't follow it completely but it helped me make my own kind of. I made a Orb sorc with a nm act 2 merc. He has the shaftstop, Obediance(sp?) and vamp gaze on. He did die sometimes but i think it was more my fault then his. :p I have full Tal set one. Got it for an soj. Was cheep to me. Actually i spent more on getting the merc stuff. lol. I also have a perfect gheeds along with my inventory full of sc's (From 7% to 5% mf). Have my tomb of portals too. What i really wanted to say is that i have almost no problem mf-ing any boss. I do have some trouble with getting to Diablo though, and haven't tried Baal as of yet. B-net has been slightly laggy and teleporting has been a problem.

Lvl 72 Orb Sorc:
Str. 102-105 (With mods etc.)
Dex. 50-55 (Can't remember for sure)
Vit. 60
Mana. 300

Reason why i have so much mana is i went energy shield. Wasn't sure what kind of armor spell i was to use.

Gear:
Tal Belt
Tal Ammy
Tal Armor
Tal Helm
Tal wep (+2 cold)
SOJ Ring
BK Ring (Think I might put on another SOJ instead.)
War Trav Boots (Only 37% though)
Chance Gloves (40%)

Like i said before merc only dies when like Knight casts IM on him or something stupid like that. But honestly i am not even getting decent drops. I also have a p topaz in armor. Will soon have a p topaz on wep and helm just for shits and giggles too. Any idea why my drops suck?

Your Vitality is wayyyy to low. Put all of the points that You get in the following levels into it. Don't use BK, it really does not make a difference, use 30%MF Nagelring instead.
Just because You have a high MF doesn't mean that You will instantly get good drops. Essentially, it just increases the chances for that happening. I have a friend who MF'ed with a sorc with about 300% mf, and mephisto dropped a zaka on 2 consecutive runs. It's just luck, so keep trieing.

If it's too expencive then don't complain. That's more fcr than in Tal's combo.

i dont use tals. i use everything he says there.

you really shouldn't put way too much into strength, try to use item bonuses or charms to make up for the stats if you can

Indeed, I don't think that a 4Ist monarch is a very good investment at all, only do that if You are filthy rich (which You aren't, because You are in this thread), and already own perfect anni, perfect sorc torch, ~6 coldskillers with +6 STR, etc.

filthy rich??? im filthy poor but i think i can get it. but ist the str points i waste worth da 75 or so mf i actually get from 100 mf shield?

Use eCV Insight, that has a str req of 200 instead of 210. If still not enough (dependant on merc level), put a pAmethyst into Your shaft.
