computer problems
#1
Alright, I am not computer illiterate or anything so can someone help me out? I use net defence firewall (not great but not terrible) and it keeps telling me that this person is trying to get in.

192.168.1.100
It is inbound and 'major'
the protocol is 'other'
I backtraced in a whois thing, and here is the information, I called the number and they said that links to hacking were not them, on a bot, I couldn't get to a person due to holiday break (it is understandable, even leet haxorz need to take christmas off)

On your virus program, when it says that, does it say delete virus or anything like that?

No, it just says that they adress is getting in and it is 'major' compared to 'minor' or neither, the major and minor are levels of how scared you should be...

EdiT: So ti is not a virus, it is a address trying to getting in and ****ing around

Well, im so dumb when it comes to this stuff. If it says its trying to get in, then that means its not going to get in if the message comes up once in a while...

If it is getting in, I would recommend the free version of ZoneAlarm, not to mention the free version of AVG too. Good Firewall and Anti-Virus.

ok - one thing about Firewalls is that if it is a Peice of crap one _Your safer. Sounds Odd? ya - but its cuz the companies dont have time to make elaborate Ip blocker Dingly-Hardware for it - So yes, Sum1 or thing is tryin to get in to ur comp. Be it bot or spyware (i doubt it is) Its not good, Are u DSL or Dial-up --Also Do u have to re-connect to get online?
:::::IF u have DSL and are always connected, Dis-connect, it usely will change ur IP to a new Sever, If u have dial-up, change the server u dial tp (call ur ISP and tell them bout this) - A good way to solve fast, (if ur comp Illitrate SEVERLY) Find an IP changer, one that can Change your IP (Scan for Viruses, spyware, key-loggers, all that - not all of these are safe, even secure site ones are sometimes bad)----------Hope this help A little.... Good luck!!!! Smile

Your firewall doesn't offer an IP block/ban type thing? Also, if your firewall is good it doens't let programs open ports up without your permission. So unless you gave something that you weren't supposed to to open ports you shouldn't have any problems with anything like that.

IM me for a cracked version of ZoneAlarm. The key expires in ****ing 2149, can you believe that shit?
