Melee Sorc - lightning based

Ok i was looking at the telemental sorc build and it looked interesting and using the idea with the dreams ive tried to adapt it into a melee version. This is still in thought so any ideas would be appreciated before i waste my runes on buying dreams.

Here we go.

Stat points:

Strength : enough for equipment
Dex: About 160
Vitality: 150
Energy: Everythng else

Skill placement:

20 Lightning mastery
20 Energy Shield
20 Telekenesis
20 Thunder Storm
1 Warmth

Every other point can be used either on a cold armour, enchant or a combi of both. I had 5 in encahnt and 16 in frozen armour. Be aware i did this on a lvl 99 char with all skill points aquired.

Gear:

Weapon 1: Passion phase blade - you need zeal, ar and speed. Damage on this isnt important since its almost 99% lightning based anyway.

Weapon 2: Cta

Armour: Uped Viper - i slapped this on for the res mostly but the + skill helps you get the +5 attacks on zeal.

Helm: Dream Diadem - you can't avoid this, there is no alternative the dreams are what makes this build work.

Shield 1: Dream Monarch - Same as above no alternative here

Shield 2: Spirit

Gloves: Frostburns - im using these for the mana

Belt: Arach - + skill and mana regen

Boots: Silkweaves i only used these for the mana

Amus and rings - double angelic rings + amu, keep a raven in stash though

charms: 9x lightning skillers (with life or fhr or 50/50) , 1 anni + 1 torch



After making this i had a 300-56000 damage zeal, 10000 ar (with enchant) and about 1500 life and mana. Take note this is perfect gear im guessing its going to be about 30-40k max on most people. But that is still very high. My only fear with this build is the attacks too slow maybe swap the frostburns with ias gloves.

Interesting character build. I don't think it will be viable for PvP. It may have some difficulties in PvM once you hit hell. How are you to stop LI monsters? You do have enchant but it is such a low level with no synergies that it will do very little. You do have a mercenary but you never know when you will come across a LI PI monster, and this build doesn't provide much support. Also, you have very little IAS therefor you will be attacking a very very low rate of speed.

It is quite slow so i tried swaping the frostburns and the arach for a pair of 20 ias gloves and nosferatus belt and it helped a bit. I admit this build wont be owning any palas in melee. But it still has a pretty high damage thunder storm and the holy shock has about 400% lightning mastery working on it.

Physical and lightning immunity spawning to gether is rare, if they do id just teleport away

I'm not saying your build is garbe but heres my suggestions: sup bone visage for dream, sup troll nest for dream. Both of these have low strg so can save some stat pts, plus the def on visage will be a big plus, troll nest will be around 175def also. Forget the magi, get a 15%light ormus with 5/5 light facet. Boots should be gores, gloves should be 20ias. instead of daul set rings, use 1 soj to up zeal and for mana. you will need cta and anni to up zeal enough so you have 5hits. 250+dex This will help a lot with ar and block. Strg should be 65, but you will need 20stat torch and 20stat anni, if you can't get this, up your strg till you can reach 106 with torch and anni. Here comes the tricky part, how much to put in enegry and vit? I honestly don't know, but theres a way to find out. Build this char with hero, do it legitly too and fool around with enegry and vit to see what works best.

Also try using beast, see how he does in wearbear form.

I build an enchant sorc with this +3 or 5 ga bow. It's so funny. 6k ga dmg. rofl.

You swapped the Frostburns and Arachnids and lost a lot of 'life' and + skills to Zeal while only gaining 30% IAS. I'm still troubled on how you will fair against mobs.
