Playing Hardcore

Hi Fellow Forumers,

I am a US West Ladder Softcore player for quite some time and is getting a bit bored.

I am going to start a US west hardcore character and would like to know who would like to do the same, maybe we can start playing together sometime.

To anyone who might be intersted in the switch to hardcore, you can /w *xsansanx
and maybe we can quest together.

first off, welcome to the forums, i myself started playing us west hc a little while ago, a few things to keep in mind, there are some idiots out there that like to pk you. watch out, chant games are great but they also get you killed alot. i lost my level 70 hc zon because someone pked me without me knowing. have fun

I don't play on US servers, but I'll give a hint to taste HC a bit: First, start a melee Barb, and run around like a madman. Mule off any decent (low level) necro summoner items you find. See whether you can get to Baal alive.

If you survive it: Good, that means you have been pretty carefully so far and may well be able to survive with a weaker character. But if you are used to being able to start anew there is a high probability that you accidently attack monsters melee in the Chaos Sanctuary or WSK level 3/Throne room, or that you meet a PKer, lag or carelessness (attacking fire enchanted critters for example).

Next, start a Skelliemancer. The skeletons/golem/merc take all hits, so you are safer than any other class, and with a decent necro wand/shield you can focus on using MF items for the rest. If you start getting some decent low level items make an MF sorc.

Note: On HC it is not recommended to go to Nm before you are at least level 4x, and to Hell before you are at least level 6x.

very nice info skyclad i would also suggest that u try and find a low lvl game with an enchant sorc in it. Makes things go 10 times as fast i hit lvl 25 with a zon in less then an hour with enchant and multiarrow

I started on hc last night and is now level 12.. lolz

Anyway, i dont see any hardcore guides around, anyone can tip me on how to build a "survivable" summoner necro?

Any help here is greatly appreciated.
