i dont know how to use mod drop mod!!!!!!!!!

i dowloaded like freakin 5 drop mods and someone told me to like copy the patch and crap like that but it dint work and stuff but plz help me out i am so comfused ./pzl help me out

Download the BW Drop 'n Dupe mod. Its totally amazing , and just follow the steps and its easy as 1 2 3

k this is what u do to install mod. you create a new folder of whatever mod you are installing, and name it the name of that mod in your D2 directory (the main D2 folder, like usually something like C:\Program Files\Diablo II). afterwards, open this folder and place whatever came with the mod. go back to the main d2 directory and find your Diablo II application, and then right click and hit "create shortcut". this will create a shortcut to diablo II. find it and drag it to your desktop. now open that mod folder that i told you to make earlier, and copy the address to that folder. now go to your desktop, find that shortcut, right click, and rename it to the name of the mod. now right click it again and go to "properties". find the "start in" box, and highlight the stuff in-between the quotes. erase that and then hit "Ctrl+v" and this will copy the address of that mod folder that you earlier made". now there are 2 different kinds of mod arrangements that i know of. theres the type that is just one file, and it is just a patch. the other type that i know of is where you will have a folder named "data". if you hate the first one, and it is just a patch, i believe you are done and you can just hit "ok" on the properties, and just pop in ur D2 cd and double click on the shortcut that you made on the desktop. if it is a folder that says "data" or something like that, then you need to add a little blurb to the "target" box in the properties. keep the first part that ends with diablo II.exe, but add i believe its usually either "-direct" or "-direct -txt" without the quotes. also make sure u have the space after the end of the quote from the origianl thing that was in there and where u type in "-direct". then hit "ok", and pop in the D2 cd and click on the mod shortcut. also, usually most mod files out there do (or should) include a readme that would help ya out. as someone said, if u are looking for a good drop mod, BW Drop 'N Dupe Mod. it includes a readme, and it really is a nice solid drop mod. also, you can trust this download probably a little more than some of those other "unmarked" drop mods that might just say for info on that mod "drop mod" or something like that. you can find the BW Drop 'N Dupe Mod in the download section of d2sector, hope ya made some sense out of this, later man. *whew*
