Well IMO the older games for sega and SNES were ok, but I have both those for XBox... every game for SNES and Genises on 1 disk... not hard to get, and it was free except what I payed to get the disk (150 for 20$, really not a big loss). The newer games have actual story-lines, better graphics, probably a little variety in game endings or routes, and other such things that make them far superior to older games. Yea yea, some older games you find fun but they can get boring really fast looking at games that move like Mr. Game And Watch on SSBM for Nintendo GC.
The genises games, wow, mortal combat, sonic, and a few others... whoop-dee-****ing-doo... lol, and SNES only really has Mario, Zelda, and maybe a few other games gonig for it. I think revo will suck balls, though it may be a success because Nintendo seems to always beat the compeditors in price, because they don't spend a lot on making the consols, so maybe all the little poor kids will buy the revo and that will keep Nintendo going for another few years. I know that I wil probably not choose it as my first of the 3 to buy, though I am also not buying 360 at all because of it's problems, well maybe later once price is down and all problems are resolved. I am going with PS3 for sure, though it may have a few things wrong with it at first, whatever, if they have mass problems, return it  lol.

All consoles are expensive as they come out and there will be no difference for this generation. Soon enough though they will be affordable, and when they are I will get PS3. Good choice C-Man

I think that Sony has become very good at killing off the competition. Nintendo has had better system, but if they don't get out of the kid-friendly game ideals, I don't think they will be able to come close to 360 or PS3.
As for the 360, I think they made a very large mistake releasing so early. They may make some profit before PS3 hits, but after that they will slump.
At least Microsoft has enough financial backing to take the blow, but if Nintendo has to go big or go home in the market.

Yea, i certainly hope my theory of it being the "poor people" or others theory's of it being the "little kid" consol come true to keep it alive, because I would like to see Nintendo pull out of that vicious cycle of imaure games lol
I love Nintendo because of their earlier systems, and still have an old NES and SNES, 64, but I also have PS1, PS2, XBox, GC, and I would have to say I play XBox most (Because I only have like 7 games for PS2, and I have over 1000 for XBox if you include my emulators + games. Only like 50 if you count emulators as 1).
Still, I am going to have to go with PS3 on this.

i believe that Ps3 will take the market becuase how little time was put into the Xbox 360... Look at the release dates of Ps2 and Xbox and the release dates of Xbox 360 and Ps3. Ps3 has another 2 years of developing on its side..... now to put Revo in there.. they put alot of time and effort into the revo but not alot of $ this will be a lower budget system with lower budget performance. Ps2 has dominated the market and Ps3 is to follow since sony is the market holder in gaming already....
PS3 WILL DOMINATE!!!!!

i dont think the PS3 will murder microsoft as microsoft is releasing halo 3 the same day as PS3 comes out also there have been rumors going around that sony has lost square enix to microsoft

raz the halo 3 crap wont happen gates anf bungie have made that a clear fact if i remember correctly and the fact that a singe game would kill a console on a release date is just laughable to say the least and killzone is by far the better than halo just for the fact of the friggin mega machine gun , the 4 chars, dash pwr, no jumping ( would you jump in the middle of a fight and a the concussive force of a blast in mid air would sent you flying even farther ) and my fav wep the grenade cannon thingy (looks like a box with a huge barrel on the front and fires explosive shells)
jeez every one belittles the revo even though U PPL dont kno wuts its specs are other than from pure specualtion either stfu about something you have no info about or try and do some digging for once in your life
and ill say this again a large ammount of programers and developers are anctious for the revo and what they can do with the revo controler so dont ****ing count them out

If the PS3 is affordable it will rock the gaming market. My thoughts at least, but they're worth jack all to anyone.

i heard yesterday that when Ps3 first hits the market in the US the starting price will be around $500 which is a lot of $ but will hopefully drop in price soon after release.

i think that the 360 is a bit of a joke the only way that they will have a chance with competing with the PS3 is if they do what they're planning and release Halo 3 on the same day as teh PS3 and even then i would still buy a PS3 for DMC4 than buy a 360 for Halo 3. When i beat Halo 2 the first time just about all the respect i had for Bungie and anything that applies to it (i.e. Microsoft in general, besides their computers) went down the hole!!! now i know some people may say that DMC2 sucked too but they made up for it with DMC3 it was my favorite out of all of them although it was hard as hell i liked it much better than Halo 2 and besides the 360 may have come out first but i can almost guarantee that it will have more bugs than the PS3 because they announced them at around the same time and the PS3 doesnt even have a date yet so they'll have more time to get rid of bugs plus they've already had practice with backwards compatibility with the PS2 so hopefully they wont have any problems with it

i dont mean to contradict anyone but wouldnt there be a law against sony dropping square and still releasing Kingdom Hearts 2? again i dont mean to be a pain in the ass...

I've heard/read rumors that the PS3 might hit markets within the spring of this year. I cannot stretch how much of a Rumor this is. Like I said, this is only a rumor.

Well I am hoping your rumour turns out to be true lol. I have heard as late as December 2k6 for XMas rush.

Uhh... 500$ isn't THAT much, considering the PS2 was around 700-800$ when it was first released, though people like my step-brother still bought it lol. He got back over 2k dollars from income tax and spent 1/2 of it on a PS2 :blink: lol. He also later bought an XBox and GC though, then gave his XBox away and bought a new one like 1 month later for a game lol. He loves his gaming systems... even bought a HD Plasma TV, like 48 inches or something with a nice surround sound system, and since he runs his own electronics store, I think he knows his shit lol.

I have to agree with everyone, even tho microsoft is doing pretty good...i still hate them, and project_s8an raises a good point, Halo 2 was a good game....until you beat it, i beat halo 2 and wanted to throw the damn thing against the wall.....worst ending ever. also the rumor about sony loosing square enix like i had originally said, aint gonna happen, cause theres so muc more developers can do with the PS3 rather than x360.....also DMC4 im in screw x360
