My cold sorc just sucks? or do they all suck

hello, i just started a ladder character, and it happened to be a cold sorc because i had a light sorc on NL. I leveled to 95 before I realized they werent even that good.... My blizzard currently does 13k blizzard.. my merc has infinity.... it doesnt pwn as fast as my NL light sorc, which did 40k Lightning... I could solo all the uber bosses, except UBer trist. does mine just suck? i have the best of best equip.... P fathom, p NW...

Cold sorcs arnt based around high dmg(though its nice) alot of their damage is from peircing, so that 13k with the - 200somthing from level 20 cold mastery can be more twards 22k per hit from blizzard

Cold sorces are cheap, easy mf. If you have conviction on, it does'nt really matter what element you choose, the point of cold damige is that it pierces resists so somone who is 95% resist to all will only take 5% damige from everything cept cold. Which makes cold damige almost always do more than what it says it does, while lightning and fire get reduced. But conviction pretty much makes cold mastery useless because the cap is -100 resists.

ok icp u say that in all your posts i've read and it's annoying. But yeah anyway 13k bliz is actually pretty good damage for bliz. more than mine anyway

yeah cold sorc is more of mf and harder to use in duels...14k -monster resis is alot of damage hehe
