The reason that prices change for the same thing is because I do not personally think there is a price for any item set in stone; prices may vary as the individual has more desire for a particular item. This is why I see "What's bla-bla (insert d2 item into bla-bla) worth?" as a very loose question. Basically you can try price checking here in the trading forum and see if anyone wants to trade and what they'll offer for your stuff.
