i traded a 5 resist 10 life sc for jah ber and Lo
so recently the jah disappear
the thing is 2 other ppl knows my account pass but i HIGHLY doubt they would take it cause i know them in offline too
so did i traded the sc for duped runes or maybe i just dropped it somewhere???
i see it in my inv then i logged off for like 6 hours when i logged back on the jah is gone ber is still here
so help answer this plz

ya it was duped.....it simply dissapeared

maybe your friends traded for the duped jah and traded to you. and even if you know them offline, i'd change my pass if ANYONE knew it. no matter how much you kick their ass for taking your account you won't get it back lol. unless their your friends then nevermind what i just said. btw, if you used a duped rune to make enigma for example, would the enigma disappear?

no if u put a duped rune into an item the item is perm

every hr is duped these days the highest rune i have thats not duped is gul which droped form my forge lol

I agree with FM. Almost every hr is duped. So are mine, but mine don't disappear from 1 game to the other...they stay for 1 week

why exactly do they dissapear ? what triggers it specifically ?

What triggers a disappearance is the detection of the item then the deletion of it. Duped items are not real. Kind of like a cookie, you take a cookie out, go to the bathroom, it's gone, your mother ate it.

I am not sure if THEY delete it. My way of thinking : they aren't stable in the diablo 2 server and they just disappear.

From what I have learned if you have a duped item.. Hm well how to put this ok example = I traded for a perf 30-15 2soc coa and I put in my stash back when I was lvling the old way I got to lvl 80 and then on baal run it was gone.
Now from what I was told even if you perm your items if you get in the game with the orginal item your item will poof. I had a soj that I knew was duped but I did't care I was perming it every game. Well to my suprise if poofed when I left a baal run.
Rune's will poof the fastest best to just keep them on a mule until you can use them.

Yeah that does suck, but the best thing to do when you get a HR is to trade it or use it in a runeword.

bnet is ****ed again..
anyway.. just keep your high runes on a mule.. an empty one so you dont join lots of games with him. whenever you want something make a private game and xfer to another char, but ALWAYS perm before you leave the game.
btw its not that they are not stable cuz they arent real. as far as i know every item droped has a code. bnet detects the codes and if it finds two items with the same code one or both is deleted. not really sure if thats true tho.

How do I perm a dupe in each game. I finally got some decent drops botting and want to trade for hr. Should I only trade for one specific hr at a time and socket it?

Just like what Jason said, keep them in a mule until you need them^^ if you're planning to trade them all right away. Perming is quite simple i think... Join a game >> Open Trade screen with another player >> close it real quick >> leave game. doing it every game you join should help
