Barb Build Help

I need help on what barb to build i mainly a caster person, this is the gear i have to work with.. so someone tell me what type of barb i should build

1. Death or botd (cb)
2. Fort or Enigma
2. SS or phoenix
3. Verdungos and gores and dracs and arreats
4. 5%bk and ravenfrost
5. highlords or maras(if i want)
6. I also have anni and torch

I want a high damage barb, he will be more for pub games PVM the PVP

also any ides for merc gear to go along with the barb build will be apperciated

personally, i think conc barbs are the best barbs. although i am not that experienced with barbs beyond pure BO barbs...i'm actually planning on making one too

yea i was thinking conc, but i here beserk can do big damage

I think berserk is better b/c berserk is magic damage which cannot be affected by block or DR? Am I right?

Go for Forti for PvM, Eni for PvP
Always Arreats, Dracs, Gores and Highlords
Dungos for PvP, String for PvM
BK and Raven are fine
40/15 into arreats
Torch Anni
Inventory full with WC Skillers b/c Combat is useless, it gives too low dmg...
Grief BA for PvP, BotD for PvM

I don't know about the shields, if you go for Storm you can go for max block but if you use Phoenix you'll get more dmg...

in my opinion you should use angelics ammy and at least one ring for AR. Also, i don't recommend WC gcs, instead, use 3/20/20s or max/ar/life gcs. you will find that 3 20 life scs in the place of a WC gc will give you more life. go with ww with a skill in berserk for the immune to phy. As razzor said combat gcs are useless. Mastery Gc arent bad since you gain AR, REZ, Faster run/walk, & def.

yea. 3/20/20's are expensive but my point was they need lots AR . And that 3 20 life scs give you more life after boing than a WC gc w/ no life mod. everytime i find a 20life sc i sell it and buy like 3 19life sc's with the rune i get for the 20life sc. they are over priced.

@quad 20 life scs arent overpriced. 20 life on a sc = perfect
perfect items are alwaus worth much more than even near perfect items
thats why, for example, a 399 pheonix will be worth considerably less than a 400
why? cuz it gives u a feeling of perfection, u can be perfect, why not?

If you desire increased attack speed (IAS) for Whirlwind, keep in mind that only the speed of the weapon itself counts. Consequently, any IAS on any item but the weapon has no effect at all. With a 1H weapon the framebreaks are at 0, 10 and 35 for 7, 6 and 5 frames between each attack; for a 2H weapon it's 0, 30 and 60. To determine how much IAS you need for higher Whirlwind speed add the number listed in the speed section to these breaks, thus substracting it if the value is negative. IAS above these values has no effect. Example: Colossus Blade has a speed of [5] so you would need 5, 15 and 40 IAS on the weapon for 1H and 5, 35 and 65 for 2H. Therefor, the unique item "The Grandfather" could never attack at the maximum speed for Whirlwind.

so as u can see, it is impossible to reach even the 10ias breakpoint because the ias from items dont increase ur WW's ias. on the other hand, items with ias increase ur Zerk or conc ias.
for skill allocation i would suggest this

the rest is ur choice, depending on ur stats, between the non-weapon masteries(iron skin, etc)

for ur items i suggest (FOR PVM, thats what u want right?):
EbotdZ(zerker because combined with pheonix its almost as high dmg, if not higher, than a 2handed ebotdcb and all the stats pheonix gives rule)

Fortitude, archon with some ed has 1.6+ def, so its an excelent armor

Steelrends or Dracs (even though lifetap DOES NOT cast while ww, u can still do conc or zerk and hope it casts

ammy and rings of ur choice, for pvm they dont really do much. u can try to get some high ar/str/ll rings so u can have more vita and have some good ar and ll

Arreats always, its just too good =) if possible a high defence eth uped one

For switch u can have 2Xhoto or 2xwc weapons
if u wanna mf around or rush with this char u can keep a enigma in stash and use it with 2xhoto to tele preety fast

my barb had almost that same gear (no rends and he did nearly 7k ww and had 5klife

wc gcs with + HIGH life are preety good, although 3-20-20s and SHARP LARGE CHARMS OF QUALITY (6-8max dmg, 21-48ar) are even better if u can find them, i have ONE of these on west, ive never seen anyone trade one though, so dont waste ur time trying to find them.

for ur stats, when using pheonix monarch if u have 170dex u will have over 40% blocking, which is horrible but this is pvm so we dont need to worry about that.
if u suddenly feel the urge to pvp:
use enigma instead of fort in barb v caster
use ss instead of pheonix in melee

u might need some resistance charms if u dont feel like adding too much to natural resist skill, so try to find some of those too

conc barbs are shit
zerk barbs can do enourmous dmg, but can die very easily. 1 skill in zerk and 20 in shout makes ur zerk dmg sky rocket

Downside to berserk is that they get no defense but do really nice damage on the other hand concenrate give's defense bonuses for a quick moment and that it won't hurt Immune Phy ><;;

Yes you should max you block wether it's PvM or PvP

Another thing is it'd sugguest you use Angelic Rings//Ammy. Really great AR if you really need it

how much dex is needed for max block for a ww barb using ss(stormshield)

I usually get max block at around 175-205 dex @ clvl 85
