i believe my account has been hacked, the password and email address is changed.. but life still goes on
NOW for a question...


Isn't it theoretically easy to hack someone's account? by hacking i mean stealing their password. i mean all you have to do is get the person's account name, and then email them saying you forgot the password. i think this is what happened to me. both the email address and password were changed. when i saw that my password was incorrect, i sent blizzard an email asking for it. and they responded. in the email it said that the account's email address had also been changed. they said that if it isnt right, to forward it to them as abuse. will that do something if not anything?

Not exactly, if you reported a forgotten password, they would send it to the registered e-mail. Therefore the hacker must also know that password, and if they knew that they would probably wouldn't even bother with the rest.

well it had been changed on me.. so i sent an email to blizzard... so he already knew the password? damn.. and theres nothing i can do right?

No, blizzard won't even read your e-mail if you attempt to cry to them, you're ****ed. Be more safe with your password. Start over. Have fun.

Nothing blizz can do sorry. I SUGGEST you do a scan of your computer for keyloggers or trojans.

damn too many threads bout passwords being hacked...from now on im keeping d2 pw's different from all my other pw's....getting hacked in d2 is fine but if u get on my ID or mail...im gonna ****ing kill u !!!! haha lol

well my pw is too hard to get bruted...cant be guessed...i have a keylog on my comp that i put there myself (dont ask y) and no other keyloggers, lol yea i gave only one person my pw that plays d2 but i know him for a year and he never stole ne thing, instead he leved my chars hes hella nice...i dont get wat "random" is...

I believe that someone has taken your account psw and your e-mail password because if you want to change your e-mail from [email protected] to [email protected] blizzard will send an e-mail to [email protected] e-mail which requires confirmation.
You can ask your isp to bring back your e-mails if you (or someone else) have deleted them.
However if you have a free e-mail at a free srvice like yahoo or google then it is more difficult to bring back your deleted e-mails.

but that is rather alarming.. i am kinda poor, the best item i had.. mmmm mara 26? rainbow facet? but the big problem is on that account i have my mfer.. sighs.. aw well, i guess my barb will now be my "best"

oh and you mentioned key loggers.. any recommendations on the best scanner to remove them?

well most keyloggers, especially the popular ones, can be caught be ne kind of scanner...if u want a free scanner then im not sure which is the best, but just google free scanners and u'll get sumthing...but if ur looking for a professional scanner that isnt free, go for norton antivirus 2006....im not allowed to talk bout cracks but pm me or contact me thru aim/msn/yahoo and ill hook u up lol...also get an adware/spyware remover like webroot spysweeper...the recent versions include startup shield which is one of the best things ever!! startup shield basically tells u if a program is wanting to start each time ur copm starts, and u can choose to allow it or not! this is good bcoz most keyloggers, trojans, and viruses start up iwth the computer and u can control wat u want to start up and stuff....

Never give your pass to anyone you dont know in real life. Even if they are nice to you, level characters etc, one day they might say i want that im going to take it. If you knew them in real life you could just bash them lol

usually keyloggers are inbeded in files. When you execute the file the keylogger opens and runs hidden in the back ground, this is where most a/v catch them

lol i used to spend grueling hours doing evil hacking and coding...im off that stuff these days but my goal was to make a known virus undetectable....but i came VERY close to achieving that...basically AV will catch the virus, but wat i did is that even wen the virus gets deleted, it will keep coming back due to my coding and u cant ever get rid of this problem unless u go into safe-mode...but u still wont know which 5 files keep respawning each other and the virus...
