Hey all

this is my first guide

Well this is a Hammerdin guide :O

Ok well here it is : /



Stats

Strength: depends what enigma you want to wear, eg mage base str because of torch / anni or w/e
Dexterity: ONLY enough for max block WITH holy shield on you have no idea how many people ive see with hammerdins that have 200+ dex
Vitality: everything else
Energy: Depends I have 50 with shako battle orders etc I have about 500 mana



Items

[SIZE=3]PvM Gear[/SIZE]
  • Enigma (of your choice I use mage plate [less str requirement])
  • Hoto (Heart Of The Oak)
  • HoZ (Herald of the Zakarum)
  • Umed or perfect Topazed (for mfing) Shako
  • 2 x Bul Kathos rings (for the life not the leech life)
  • Spider web sash
  • Maras Kaleidoscope
  • Magefists or Trang’s gloves
  • Boots are debateable if you don’t have enough resists go for tearhuanches (or w/e) War Travelers for mf Hammerdins or Gores if you want (I don’t use them)
  • CTA (Call To Arms [for battle orders and the other one… the one that adds skills {cant remember}]) (on switch)
  • And Spirit or a Lidless (on switch)

PvP Gear

  • WizSpike instead of Hoto (only do this if you have a fair amount of paladin combat gcs [Grand Charms])
  • Maybe a Spirit or a HoZ (for fcr [faster cast rate])
  • Enigma
  • Umed Shako
  • Good paladin amulet (+2 paladin skills +20 fcr +20 resists or something like it) or Maras Kaleidoscope
  • Spiders Web sash or thundergods for absorb
  • 2 x bk (bul Kathos) rings or Wisps (for 10-20 light absorb [I think])
  • Boots are debateable if you don’t have enough resists go for tearhuanches (or w/e) War Travelers for mf Hammerdins or Gores if you want (I don’t use them)
  • Magefists or Trang’s gloves (for fcr)
  • CTA (Call To Arms [for battle orders and the other one… the one that adds skills {cant remember}]) (on switch)
  • Spirit or a Lidless (on switch)

Note: almost any of these items are substitutable for absorbing elemental damage (eg belt or amulet for Thundergods belt or something like it, also rings r ok for substitution)



Skills


Save every skill you get except for the perquisites and then put them on the below skills

20 x Blessed Hammer (your main skills laugh: )
20 x Concentration Aura (your main skill)
20 x Vigor (used for extra damage to hammers)
20 x Blessed Aim (extra damage to hammers again)
1 point into redemption (for any good pvm hammerdin [I put into all mine])
The rest of the skill points into holy shield

Max in the order above (except when doing holy shield and redemption save 2 skill points until levels 24 and 30 [30 for redemption and 24 for holy shield]) any other skill point put into hammer and concentration eg say you have 4 points left put 1 into hammer and 1 into concentration {save the others for redemption and holy shield}

(Redemption is good for the life / mana regain from killing things kept me alive more time than I can count and Concentration is for the damage multiplier)

Ok well that’s the build but here what I know about duelling (not much LOL)




Duelling


There are a few types of ways you can duel with a Hammerdin,
The chicken way, stand somewhere spamming hammers or the offensive type
Teleport on top of someone (to do this hold your cursor over someone so you can see their name and the teleport onto them) quickly change teleport to Concentration Aura
and click usually one hammer kills anyone if you can do it properly.

NOTE: always have Battle Orders aura on you for more life and holy shield on

Sorcs


Crazy Sorcs … I can kill every type except for light Sorcs (can’t help you there). Just teleport on top of them and cast one hammer = dead. If against a cold sorc use a raven frost for cold absorb and cannot be frozen skill thing.

Barbs


All are easy to kill except for ww barbs (whirlwind). Just teleport on top of them and 1-2 hammers (depending on their life) = dead.

Whirlwind barbs are annoying… if you teleport on top of them you die because as soon as they see you they whirlwind into you so you die. And they can teleport onto you if they have enigma. So basically if you can teleport on top of one can manage to cast a hammer good job Tongue

Amazons


Usually easy to kill except for bowazons. Just teleport on top of them and 1 hammer = dead. For bowazons to kill them you have to use the screen to your advantage… because the screen is rectangular you can see more these ways <^ and ^> therefore that’s usually the only way to come at them… because they will fire guided arrows at you, therefore you have to get to them as fast as you can and kill them. Any other Amazon just teleport on top of them.

Paladins


Hmm usually the hardest thing to win against. For chargers you need to teleport on top of them (hard because they are always running) and cast 1-2 hammer/s = dead

Smiters
Usually the same tactic as a charger but if they decide to smite you your in trouble lol… I cant help you here I have usually only duelled charging smiters.

Fohers (fist of the Heavensers… [or w/e lol])
Usually easy duel because of their slow cast rate teleport on top of them and 1 hammer = dead

Hammerdins
Usually the first 1 to hit the other with a hammer wins. 2 ways to fight this… defensive or offensive. Defensive = standing there spamming hammers hoping he will teleport into one of them. Offensive = teleport on top of them and cast 1-2 hammers fcr helps A LOT here

W/e else as above

Assassins


Usually easy if they are not very good… if they have high light damage trap put on 1-2 wisps or a t gods (minimum) and don’t get stun locked… 1 hammer = dead

Martial / kicker assassin
Never duelled one lol

Druids

Wind druid
Possibly the most annoying character a Hammerdin has to try to kill when duelling, for this duel I use a raven so I cant be frozen by the hurricane, although be careful when trying to teleport on top of him because if he hits you with a tornado your in trouble… because they cast too fast and you will be put into fhr loop (faster hit recovery)

Shape shifter druid


Not very hard but if they are good then it will be an ok duel usually takes 1-3 hammers depending on their life from sage , battle order and life gain from the animal they morphed into. Just teleport on top of them and spam hammers

Necromancers


Bone necro
Usually easy to kill 1 hammer = dead teleport on top of them and cast 1 hammer. If they are out to get you they will use bone spirit *pukes* which is a harder duel.

Poison necro
Very easy duel make sure you have a few antidote potions in your belt though… teleport on top of them and cast 1 hammer = dead

Summoner
Can sometimes be a hard duel if they are skilled and you have a slow computer. Do not be caught in the middle of the summons or you will die very quickly. Keep teleporting around the necro and casting hammers after every teleport this will kill his army slowly. When he has less than 7 minions go for the kill.



Anyways that’s the end of my guide

Have fun with it that’s what I do if anyone has any suggestions please tell me

Um...potting. anyways NICE GUIDE. like the duel section. very detailed.

Potting is when you heal your self... official duels never say anything about antidote potions

the pvp is slightly wrong

never use wizspike instead of hoto, unless u wanna try to stack resist (vs ppl with conviction only)

a crafted belt with 10%fcr/24fhr/str/res is way better than spider

there are both duped boots on east and west, on west use imps on east i dont know what it is tho (spurs?)

hoto (40)+ belt (10)+ Ammy (20)+ gloves (20)+ spirit(35) = 125%fcr = highest breakpoint

a 20fcr ammy is extremely rare and a good crafted belt is even more rare, so spider + 10fcr ammy can replace them

only problem is most of us dont have 15 sojs for imps Tongue

also those belts would be rare and i prefer spider for its fcr and mana addition also some hammerdins lack fcr thats why they use wiz, also for its resists for sorc ect
