spirit, what shield?

now i was thinking. i have seen all as monarch shield or w/e it called, but wouldnt it be better to put the runes in a grim shield? or the new name for it in xpac. it has more def alone without the runes...

Grim shield does NOT have enough sockets to make spirit(4os), and monarchs very commonly drop as a 4os, I think it is also becaseu it is the only one that can have 4os, or is the least defence 4os-able shield.

.. dang, i thought grim could hold four. well, couldnt a uh.. that long shield that makes ward as a unique as a non xpac item i think its called... could that make one? more def on those i think too. not sure though.

bleh, guess ill make it out of monarch, just looking for more def. looking for one for my sorc im going to make. pvp. hply christe, 156 str for monarch spirit... hope they come with less str for that. so i can put one on my sorc >_>.

Yeah ancient shield and ward is the long one, ancient has shit defence and ward needs way too much str.

There are only 3 sheilds that have 4 sockets, Monarch, Ward, and Aegis, monarch has the lowest strength at 156.

Nope, you are better off using the strength and having the good defense rather than having shit defense on a shield, trust me, just use the monarch.

also, get str charms and a torch, that will reduce the amount of str points you will have to spend

Yes, but, with a sorc, all you do is tele. Its not like im going to be dueling barbs. Possible zons, but i dont see any need of putting so much into str... Guess i can find a torch, maras, str charms, and some other stuff.

Also, if you make a Spirit monarch, make it ethereal, since it requires slightly less str, has more def and is easily replaceble.

Aegis is another possiblity of a 4OS shield but needs WAYYY to much STR so out of those 3 Monarch does have the Least STR needed

Yeah it is.. and if possible get Torch + Anni to lower to points needed to add into it.
