Hooking up my stereo to my television..? Possible?

Oh yeah, if your VCR has Audio/Video IN and OUT, you can do it. But you have to change the channels with the VCR I believe.

I don't know this got confusing so damn confusing so here it is. I'm going to lay it all out with pictures. If anyone can help with step-by-step directions that would be beautiful.

^^- PS2

^^- Multi-colored cord.

Notes: Front of VCR is input, back is output.

What I am looking for: I want to be able to hook these up in a way in which I can get the sound to come out of my speakers even while playing PS2.

I know this is alot of stuff but if anyone is willing to go through it thanks alot. Also if you would like to contact me at the following..

Aim: ChiCubz11

If the pictures are not helpful enough I can make a miniclip of all of the stuff I got here. I will check back ASAP to to answer any questions about other stuff I have.

EDIT:: Also if you are replying to this thread please make instructions as clear as possible with best possible grammar, a couple of posts from a few people I couldn't understand fully.

Here you go. The only part i'm worried about you not getting, is the channel selection via the VCR.

BlindMansTicket I got it to work. I appreciate your help and the time you took to create that splendid diagram Tongue. One last question, how do I watch regular TV with this. Every time I change the channel with the VCR the screen stays blue like I'm going to pop in a movie.

EDIT: OH WAIT! Just thought of something I should've said long ago. Did you try pressing the TV/VCR button on the VCR remote?

So my lovely picture worked for ya? Big Grin
Maybe the Cable is screwed into the wrong connection? (Output instead of Input)

Or maybe you have to go through your VCR setup menu and select something. But if the VCR display says "Channel 2", you should be able to see channel 2 on the TV (not the words "channel 2" but the actual channel 2)
